On Monday, the suspect in the second attempt to assassinate former President Trump chuckled and grinned before his first court hearing in Florida.
Ryan Wesley Routh, dressed in jail attire and restrained with chains on his wrists and ankles, entered the courtroom and chuckled several times while conversing with his court-appointed lawyer prior to the proceedings commencing, as reported by Planet Chronicle. The federal courtroom did not allow cameras to be present during the hearing, which concerned charges of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon and a firearm with an erased serial number.
On Monday, during the 10-minute hearing, Routh answered all the questions from the judge and appeared fully engaged. He will be formally arraigned on Sept. 30.
