A new Trump website discloses the potential financial impact of a Harris presidency on taxpayers.
'Higher taxes with Kamala Harris or more money in your pockets with President Trump,' Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated.
The Trump campaign launched a website on Tuesday that shows how much voters in each state will have to pay in taxes if the Trump tax cuts expire in 2021.
KamalaTaxIncrease.com claims that Kamala Harris voted against the Trump Tax Cuts and will allow them to expire if she becomes president.
Kamala Harris and Democrats in Washington will collaborate to increase your taxes and decrease your income, as per the Tax Foundation's prediction that the Trump Tax Cuts will expire.
The Tax Foundation's data is used on the Trump campaign's new website to show a map of the US and the additional taxes each state's residents can expect to pay.
Will Kamala reveal to voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin this week that they will pay more than $2,000 in extra taxes annually if she is elected and allows the Trump Tax Cuts to expire? The decision is straightforward – more money in your pockets with President Trump or higher taxes with Kamala Harris, as stated by Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign's national press secretary, in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital.
According to the website, the average national tax hike is $2,580.57, while residents in blue states such as California and Washington can expect an average increase of $3,360 and $4,375, respectively.
According to the data, Florida residents face an average tax hike of $3,505 per year, while Nevadans can expect a $3,523 spike, and Wyoming residents $4,254.
The Tax Foundation has a calculator on its website that can calculate expected increases based on an individual's personal background, such as income and marital status.
In 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was passed by Trump and Republican lawmakers, significantly altering the US tax system, such as reducing the top individual income tax rate to 37% from 39.6% and nearly doubling the standard deduction.
Vice President Harris has pledged to reverse the Trump-era cuts to the law, which is set to expire in 2025. She proposes to increase the tax rate for major businesses from 21% to 28%, and also aims to boost the federal government's small business tax deduction tenfold, from $5,000 to $50,000.
If re-elected in November, Trump intends to make his 2017 tax law permanent.
"In May, Trump stated at a New Jersey rally that he wants to let our tax cuts expire. Instead of a Biden tax hike, he promised to give a big tax cut to all classes, including the middle, upper, lower, and business classes."
An open letter was published by the Chamber of Commerce and 500 businesses nationwide last week, urging Washington lawmakers and the next presidential administration to maintain the Trump tax cuts to avoid the U.S. facing the largest tax increase in history.
The expiration of pro-growth business tax reforms from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) will significantly increase costs for families and customers, harm main street businesses, reduce take-home pay for workers, and result in the loss of innovation and American jobs, according to Neil Bradley, executive vice president and chief policy officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
"A pro-growth tax policy not only boosts the overall U.S. economy but also raises wages for American workers and enhances their standards of living. Furthermore, it ensures that the U.S. remains competitive globally by attracting and retaining businesses, jobs, investment, and innovation."
The Harris campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry about the new website.
