While sleeping next to her son, Kristin Cavallari was startled by an intruder crawling on the bedroom floor.
Kevin Costner has been named as Cavallari's 'forever crush'.
Kristin Cavallari is composed and collected during a crisis.
In her latest podcast episode, the reality star shared a harrowing experience from the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, where she confessed that actor Kevin Costner, 32 years her senior, is her "forever crush."
During spring break, Cavallari and her ex-NFL quarterback husband Jay Cutler, along with their three children, believed they were in a safe, gated resort in the Bahamas.
""We were in a condo and then recently switched into a house. I had all of my Uncommon James jewelry in the closet, just laid out. Our HVAC unit broke, so workers were in our house that day, fixing everything," she said, referring to the jewelry company she launched in 2017."
As night approached, Cavallari was already asleep beside her oldest son, Camden, who would have been 8 years old at that time. Although she had retired earlier than the rest of the family, Cavallari admitted that she was unaware of which rooms everyone else had occupied.
"I woke up to my bedroom door opening and the light from the kitchen. I woke up to a man crawling on my bedroom floor. I was so out of it because I had just woken up, so I asked, "What the f--- are you doing?""
"And this man ran out of the door with a ski mask on, full black arms, and black pants, just like the full thing. I was like, 'Oh f---,' because that wasn't Jay. I didn't know who it was, but because Camden was in bed with me, I didn't yell or scream. In those moments, I thought I would do something different, but my instincts took over, and I felt like I was in 'Mission Impossible.'"
Cavallari initially planned to text her husband, but since he didn't respond at 1 a.m., she had to go out into the house alone and leave her son in bed.

"I venture into the house and am unsure of anyone's whereabouts. I search the bedroom across the way, but it's empty. I exclaim, "What the f---!" I ascend to the upper level. It appears that Jay, Jaxon, and Saylor were upstairs at the time of my search."
After waking Jay up, I became nervous and started shaking, exclaiming 'Holy' as I processed what had just happened. However, before that moment, I was calm and not scared.
"My kids haven't heard that story yet because it's one that I think would scare them. It's about someone breaking into our house, crawling on the bedroom floor, and going to the closet to get the jewelry. Specifically, the Uncommon James jewelry. Long story short, he took all the cash we had in a backpack, but we were able to get it back."
""The HVAC guy was identified, but it was one of the scariest experiences I had," Cavallari revealed."
The family's spring break trip in the Bahamas turned into a month-long stay due to quarantine restrictions, and a month later, Cavallari and Cutler announced their divorce.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from a representative of "Laguna Beach" when requested further comment.
