Ali Fedotowsky-Manno has no regrets about leaving Los Angeles behind for good.
On Tuesday, "The Bachelorette" star revealed the reasons behind her move from the West Coast to a peaceful life with her husband and children in an episode of Savannah Chrisley's "Unlocked" podcast.
As a contestant on Season 14 of "The Bachelor," Fedotowsky-Manno gained fame, later returning as the star of season six of "The Bachelorette."
Despite her engagement to "The Bachelorette" winner Roberto Martinez not lasting, she later found love with radio and TV host Kevin Manno. The couple tied the knot in March 2017 and are now parents to two children.
In LA, we were both employed in the entertainment industry. My husband is a radio host, while I worked on Hallmark Channel until our departure.
"I informed my agent, 'I am finished working in Hollywood. I no longer wish to be part of the industry. I want to relocate to Nashville with my family and lead a peaceful life.' As a result, we made that happen."
What led the ex-Hollywood star to abandon the limelight and move away from the city?
"The entertainment industry is plagued with bullying, and Fedotowsky-Manno believes it is often overlooked. She described the industry as cutthroat and full of hate, stating that she has experienced bullying in various situations."
I was just like, ‘I’m so over this. I’m so tired of it.’ I really wanted to get that out of my life. But then I realized that kind of exists everywhere, just in a different way. There's always a social hierarchy in any circle.
"There's a lot of bullying in the entertainment industry, and I don't think people see it. It's very cutthroat, and I just felt in a lot of different circumstances, just a lot of hate." — Ali Fedotowsky-Manno
Although there were inevitable "hierarchy" circles, the ex-reality star, who was a contestant on Season 3 of "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test," confessed that her family deeply loves Nashville. However, she has one small regret about leaving Los Angeles.
"Sometimes I drive around, especially in the fall, and admire the trees, but my allergies make it difficult to fully appreciate the beauty of the surroundings."
Chrisley concurred, "They're completely insane. It's said that consuming local honey every morning can have numerous benefits."
She insisted, "I do! I'm telling you, I've thrown so much money at this allergy problem. I've tried everything from chiropractors, acupuncture, massages, even a lymphatic facial massage this weekend, which is different from a full body one. I also have red light therapy and saunas."
"I have visited various ENTs, am taking allergy medication, consume local honey, own these devices, and perform sinus flushes."
Manno has not yet tried surgery to correct her deviated septum.
