'Wheel of Fortune' viewers are going wild over the funny blunder made by the policeman contestant.
During filming, veteran police officer Will Jordan confessed to Maggie Sajak that he experienced a moment of forgetfulness.
Viewers are perplexed and slightly famished by a "Wheel of Fortune" player's amusing incorrect response.
During Monday night's episode, Jordan, a seasoned police officer and ex-coast guard from Connecticut, admitted to feeling stumped after he couldn't solve the puzzle.
The letterboard on the game show read: "E / O U R S E / F / A / R O U N / O F / A U S E."
The school resource officer, who appeared confident, shouted, "I'd like to solve the puzzle."
""Let's hear it, Will," replied "Wheel of Fortune" host Ryan Seacrest."
"Treat yourself a round of sausage," Jordan answered.
As the player shook his head with disappointment, Seacrest said, "I apologize, but that's not it."
Jordan described the moment during a video interview on "Wheel of Fortune’s" official Instagram page, alongside former host Pat Sajak's daughter Maggie Sajak, who is the show's social media correspondent.
He said, "When the lights are on, and you know the stars... Ryan Seacrest... Vanna White... I just went blank."
If your dad, in retirement, is watching this show and cracks a beer while getting a laugh, it was worth it, Jordan added.
He joked that he might get sausages at work for his "Wheel of Fortune" blunder.
He chuckled, confident that he'd find sausages in both his locker and police car upon his return.
Playing Wheel of Fortune on stage presents a unique challenge compared to playing at home, but Will was a gracious loser.
After Jordan's amusing game show prediction, comments on social media flooded in.
"This Wheel of Fortune play was not great, but I appreciate the player's stomach placement," one fan commented.
I ate a whole pound of hot Italian sausage for dinner tonight with pasta and vodka sauce!
After 42 years of hosting the show, Pat Sajak announced his plans to retire in June. Weeks later, Seacrest was officially named as his replacement. Vanna White continues to be the longtime co-host of the beloved game show.
Since 2021, Maggie, a law school graduate and Sajak's daughter, has been the game show's social media correspondent.
