'Wheel of Fortune' contestant 'remains stunned' following unexpected marriage proposal on the game show.
On Thursday night, Rhea Mathew, a contestant on 'Wheel of Fortune,' received a proposal from Robin.
One contestant's night was made a little special by "Wheel of Fortune" hosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White.
On Thursday night, during the "Wheel of Fortune" 50th anniversary celebration, Seacrest revealed that they had assisted Robin in proposing to Rhea Mathew, a contestant who appeared on the show in October 2023.
"Our 50th anniversary milestones are being celebrated, and we had one occur on set earlier in the week," Seacrest announced in a YouTube clip.
Vanna stated that Robin, the boyfriend of former contestant Rhea, sought assistance from us in proposing to her.
With the help of announcer Jim Thornton, they created a ruse that made Rhea believe she was back to celebrate "Wheel's" 50th anniversary.
Before panning to Robin and Rhea's proposal, White said, "Take a look and see what happened."
In the video, Rhea solved the "Will You Marry Me?" puzzle.
"Nicely done," Thornton told Rhea.
Robin proposed to Rhea Susan Mathew on stage, and she agreed.

The video then cut to White and Seacrest.
"I think she was really surprised," Ryan said.
"Yes, that was so heartwarming," White said.

"Around here, anything can happen," White joked.
The couple's special moment was shared on Instagram by Wheel of Fortune.
We were ecstatic about the Wheel proposal and couldn't contain our excitement, resulting in screaming, crying, and losing our minds!
Rhea expressed her gratitude in a comment on the post, exclaiming, "Wow, thank you so much! This exceeds my wildest expectations!"
Rhea posted a photo from the proposal on Instagram and gushed about her fiancé's "jaw-dropping, intricate gesture."
Maggie Sajak, daughter of "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak, shared a video about her conversation with Rhea before the proposal on her Instagram page.
Rhea brought her boyfriend Robin, one of her biggest supporters, with her today. She's excited to share the magic of the game show with him.
Sajak's video provided a behind-the-scenes look at the proposal, captioned as "A proposal on set?! 2025 is off to a magical start!"
