Wayne Osmond's death has left a "huge void" in Marie Osmond's heart, according to her.
Among the eight brothers in the Osmond family, Wayne Osmond, 73, is one of them.
Since the death of her brother Wayne Osmond a week ago, Marie Osmond has stated that there is a "giant hole" in her heart.
"The singer expressed her gratitude for being able to spend time with her brother Wayne just a few weeks ago through a long drive. She felt the Spirit's compulsion to visit him and is thankful she listened to her feelings. She cherishes the time she spent with him and will hold it dear for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, just a few days after her visit, Wayne had a massive stroke."
Since Osmond's death, she has not conducted any interviews or released any statements, acknowledging that it is difficult to express her emotions but she will do her best to honor the loving man she knew.
"As his sister, I can attest to the joy-filled, humorous times we spent together and the deep intellectual conversations that left me enlightened. He was always my go-to person for advice and a safe haven during difficult times."
She wrote that it was all he ever talked about how he "showered" his love on his wife, children, and grandchildren.
"Wayne was a devoted follower of God and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a guiding light for others and testified about God's plan for our lives. If you have the chance, listen to 'The Plan,' one of his favorite albums written by his brothers."
"Wayne, I could not cherish the gift God gave me more than to be loved by you in this life! You are a true, loving brother, and I will miss you so very much." — Marie Osmond
Donny Osmond was one of the nine siblings, along with Wayne and Marie.
Marie is the only female among her siblings, which include Virl, Tom, Alan, Merrill, Jay, and Jimmy.
Wayne Osmond, a cherished spouse and parent, passed away tranquilly last night with his devoted wife and five children by his side, as stated by the Osmond family on their Facebook page.
"The world has been touched by the legacy of faith, music, love, and laughter of many individuals."
If Marie could say anything to her brother now, she would say, "Wayne, I cherish the gift God gave me more than to be loved by you in this life! You are a true, loving brother, and I will miss you so very much. I testify eternally of my great love for you with every fiber of my heart and soul!" She added the hashtag #TillWeMeetAgain.
""I am aware that many of you have experienced these emotions after losing loved ones, and my heartfelt prayers are with you, as well as those affected by the devastating fires in California," she concluded her post."
Marie was showered with well wishes from her followers in the comments, including a message from Nancy Sinatra that read, "I love you, Marie. God bless you and your brothers."
Donny Osmond also posted about Wayne on his Facebook page Jan. 2.
Donny wrote that his brother Wayne passed away peacefully last night from a stroke. He was grateful for the chance to visit him in the hospital before he passed. Wayne was a source of light, laughter, and love for everyone who knew him, including Donny. He was an optimist and was cherished by all.
I can confidently say that we were all fortunate to have Wayne as a brother. Although we are currently separated in this physical world, I believe that through the grace and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will reunite with Wayne for eternity.
"I love you, Wayne."
In the 1970s, Donny was a member of a singing group called The Osmonds, which included Wayne, Alan, Merrill, and Jay, before achieving success with Marie and as a solo artist.
