Video footage captures Christina Hall's heated confrontation with ex-husband Josh.
In July, both Josh and Christina Hall filed for divorce.
The upcoming series premiere of "The Flip Off" showcases the volatile marriage of Josh and Christina Hall.
Tarek El Moussa, his ex-wife Hall, and his new wife, Heather El Moussa, are all participating in a real estate-flipping competition.
Josh and Christina were filming together when cameras captured a heated argument in the car, just days before the couple decided to end their marriage, with Josh stating "irreconcilable differences."
The show commenced production in May following its announcement, while Josh and Christina filed for divorce in July.
"This is a competition. We gotta give it our all. No matter what it takes to win, I'll do it. Halls rule!" Josh told Christina while driving. "You need to show that you're with me by saying it with me or repeating it."
"Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is. You’re rude." — Josh Hall
He continued, "Be mindful that you are now a Hall. Avoid getting mixed up in this competition regarding your last name. You come across as impolite."
Christina responded to her ex-husband in a soft voice, saying, "I don't talk excessively."
The conversation took a turn.
"Yeah, the crap you say, and I'm just like, 'I wish you'd shut up already,'" Josh said.
Josh responded with, "My wife is already driving me crazy."
Her then-husband was left stunned when she abruptly ended their argument with the question, "Are we there yet?"
The footage in the two-hour series premiere on Jan. 29 was filmed before Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024.
In the comment section of the video shared on Christina and HGTV's official Instagram accounts, Heather expressed her thoughts on Josh's departure from the show.
"Everyone doesn't pass the test—that's the real deal," she remarked.
In November, Christina revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Josh had problems with her past relationship with her first husband.
"Tarek and I have a flirty dynamic, which Josh doesn't like because it's different from our original dynamic," she said. "To me, it feels like a sibling relationship."
Despite their tumultuous 2016 divorce, Christina and Tarek maintained a friendly relationship and continued to film "Flip Or Flop" together until the show's conclusion in 2022. They are parents to Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9.
Christina revealed to the media that filming with Josh was "unenjoyable".
"If someone feels insecure around you and doesn't like to see you succeed, it can be discouraging. It makes me feel like I'm not shining as bright, so I don't want to make them feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?"
Despite the explosive argument between Christina and Josh appearing to end in the preview clip for "The Flip Off," an additional emotional moment was shown in the teaser clip.
In the scene, Tarek is informed by Christina that her relationship with Josh has ended.
"Things with Josh have been bad for a long time," Christina said, adding, "We had a blow-up and middle fingers in my face."
Christina revealed to her former spouse that the involvement of their kids was a factor in her decision to leave Josh.
""The kids told me he's not nice to me. Why would I stick around?" she said."
Ant Anstead, Christina's second husband, replaced Josh on "The Flip Off." A source confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital in November that Anstead is filming a portion of the show with Christina.
In August, Christina expressed her thoughts on replacing Josh with Anstead as her co-star in "The Flip Off."
In the comments of an Instagram post by Christina, a fan proposed that Anstead replace Josh on the show.
If Ant were to replace Josh on The Flip Off, ratings would skyrocket. If this happens, I deserve some recognition. Ha!
Christina replied, "That 'ratings' idea is genius, just saying."
In 2018, Christina married Anstead at their home in Newport Beach, California, and welcomed son Hudson in 2019. However, the couple announced their separation in September 2020, and Christina filed for divorce two months later.
