Candace Cameron Bure helped McKellar find faith two years ago on Palm Sunday, which she reflects on ahead of the holiday weekend and her two-year anniversary of her religious journey.
""Two years ago, I became a believer during Easter week when Candace Cameron Bure invited me to her church on Palm Sunday and we witnessed the passion play at Shepherd Church," the 49-year-old stated."
Shepherd Church has a few locations throughout Southern California.
McKellar stated that her church experience changed her life. She explained, "I don't know what happened, but some people say the Holy Spirit came to me. All I know is that I knew I became a believer, and it was the most wonderful, transformative moment."

Growing up, McKellar only celebrated the "secular side" of Easter.
"The Easter bunny, egg hunts, and coloring eggs were all part of the celebration, she explained. Although I no longer believe in the Easter bunny, it was still a fun family event. It was a big celebration like many holidays, and I'm grateful for my family who always made it special for everyone to come together."

Danica intends to spend Easter Sunday with her family, including her son Draco, in San Diego once again this year.
"She informed Planet Chronicle Digital that they would attend Easter church services and participate in an egg hunt, stating, "We'll do everything. We'll celebrate it all.""
In 2010, Danica welcomed her son, Draco, with her ex-husband, music composer Mike Verta. Teaching her teenage son about her faith has been a "brand new" process for her.
"I reveal everything I can to Draco, and this is a new experience for both of us. My family is intrigued by my journey, and I believe I'm gradually influencing them," she stated.
McKellar, after her encounter with Cameron Bure on Palm Sunday, realized that she wanted Jesus to be her "companion." Although her father discovered his faith 25 years ago, well into her adulthood, she found her father's belief in Christianity "fascinating."
Danica McKellar shares how her life was forever altered after attending a Palm Sunday church service in 2022.
Danica shared with her father, "You appear so content," to which she replied, "I'm happy for you too." She has experienced this reaction from others in her life as well. While they are happy for her, they are not fully connecting with her happiness, just like how she felt for many years. Danica understands that people may not always connect with her emotions and doesn't blame them for it.
"I hope that others can discover the joy I've found in it, so they too can experience the comfort of not feeling alone, regardless of their circumstances."
This year, McKellar is reading the Bible all the way through for the second time, keeping her connected.
I go to church and have friends with whom I discuss it. As a result, my faith journey is beautiful, and I am thankful for the supportive people in it.
Danica, who works with the Great American Family Channel, expressed her gratitude for working with a channel that airs the Passion Play on Good Friday.
"Easter is a season of redemption and rebirth, according to McKellar. He loves being a part of a network that celebrates this."
