Travis Kelce is being pressured to propose to Taylor Swift after Josh Allen got engaged to Hailee Steinfeld.
As she concludes her Eras Tour, Swift supported Kelce on Friday.
Travis Kelce, NFL-star tight end and Taylor Swift's boyfriend, is set to be the quarterback's greatest asset, not rivalry.
Over the weekend, the Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and popstar and actress Hailee Steinfeld announced their engagement, becoming football's newest dynamic duo.
In the comments section of their joint Instagram post, Kelce congratulated the couple, which sparked speculation among users about when he would propose to Swift.
Kelce's "Congratulations!!!" comment received over 11,000 likes and nearly 150 comments, many of which suggested Kelce be the "next" to propose.
"Your move bro," one user wrote. "You next," several people commented. "Ok, will you be next? the world is looking forward to it…" a person asked. "The couple in this picture is the Temu version of you and your future wife @taylorswift," another joked.
The insanity of the comments section was noted by many, including a passionate supporter who argued, "He should be allowed to congratulate his friend without people losing their minds," and later, "This is bizarre and intrusive, please leave him alone as he celebrates his friend's achievement."
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from a representative for Kelce when requested a comment.
Swift, who is pals with Steinfeld, also liked the post.
In September 2023, Swift made her relationship with Kelce public after he attended one of her games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. She revealed to TIME that by the time she went to that first game, they were already a couple. "Some people might think that they saw our first date at that game," she said. "But we would never be that crazy to hard launch a first date."
During the game, Swift was captured on camera more than a dozen times, and she has been frequently featured in subsequent events she has attended.
On Friday, Swift's father, Scott, and Donna, the mother of Kelce, joined her as she watched the Chiefs defeat the Las Vegas Raiders, marking the end of her Eras Tour.
Despite rumors that the couple's relationship is fabricated for publicity, Mark Donovan, president of the Kansas City Chiefs, denied this narrative in late November.
"I'd love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship, and we're happy to have it, and it's been nothing but good for us," he said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." "The best thing I can say about the whole relationship and its impacts on us is that Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She's an authentic fan, and that matters to our fans and our fanbase, and it matters to us, and we've tried to respect that."
