Tori Spelling is labeled "desperate" by Dean McDermott's first ex-wife for reaching out to him about divorce during a podcast.
An "90210" star and a Canadian actor, who had been married for 18 years, announced their divorce in March.
Tori Spelling received criticism from Dean McDermott's ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.
Eustace, who was married to McDermott from 1993 until his affair with Spelling led to their divorce in 2006, was not pleased with Spelling for calling him during her podcast to announce her divorce filing.
"Desperate much? It’s just low, low, low," she told Page Six on Thursday. "It’s not how you conduct things."
On April 1, Spelling announced on her new podcast, "missSpelling," that she had recently filed for divorce and phoned McDermott during the recording.
Spelling explains to McDermott why she filed for divorce first, and ends the call by saying, "I love you."
The couple, who married in 2006 and have five children together, filed the documents on June 17, 2023, citing that date as their separation.
Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to Spelling and McDermott for comment.
Eustace had other words for Spelling, referring to her as "so eager" for her past interest in joining the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast.
The actress, who shares a son with McDermott, appeared to be on good terms with him, but gave a coy answer about his new girlfriend, Lily Calo.
Eustace told Page Six that he did not know who Lily was and wished her luck, but he did not know what to say.
In the second episode of her podcast on April 8, Spelling discussed her family dinners with Dean and his girlfriend, stating, "I like her a lot. I like Lily a lot. It's not bad, it’s just different."
Spelling is reportedly dating advertising executive Ryan Cramer.
As for the divorce filing, Spelling hopes it is "amicable."
The kids are happy with their co-parenting arrangement with their father and his girlfriend. They see him regularly and are proud of his personal growth.
