The main series of "Yellowstone" has been abandoned by the crew, who are now focusing on the new spinoff.
In December, Voros stated that the team he has been working with has relocated from "Yellowstone" to "The Madison," indicating that a new show is taking place, and Taylor is enthusiastic about writing it.

‘The Madison’
Pfeiffer is the latest star to join the "Yellowstone" universe.
Variety reported that the 66-year-old actress will star in and produce the spinoff show "The Madison," which is based on the hit flagship series.
In August, Pfeiffer confirmed the casting news through a post on her Instagram.
"This cat is out of the bag. Excited for this! #Madison," she captioned her post.
According to Variety, the Paramount Network has announced that Sheridan will write "The Madison," a series about a family of New York City natives living in the Madison River valley of central Montana.
A heartfelt study of grief and human connection was described as "The Madison" by the network.
Is ‘The Madison’ a ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff?
Despite being classified as a "spinoff" of "Yellowstone," Voros clarified to Variety that the upcoming series is distinct from the original Western, featuring a different cast including Kevin Costner.
She told the outlet in November that although the stories were different, the shared landscape was the common ground.
"Montana is viewed through a different lens, making it feel like a new facet of a cut stone that has been polished. Although there are similarities in the landscape and a human being's place in that space, the perspective is entirely different."
The cast
In August, it was announced that Pfeiffer would star in "The Madison."
Michelle Pfeiffer is a talented actress who brings emotional depth, authenticity, and grace to every role she plays. She is the ideal lead for the new chapter of the 'Yellowstone' universe, 'The Madison,' created by Taylor Sheridan. Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global co-CEO and president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, praised Pfeiffer's performance in a statement to Variety at the time.
In August, The Hollywood Reporter revealed Matthew Fox would star alongside Pfeiffer.
Paul, a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors, will be portrayed by Fox.
"Suits" star Patrick J. Adams will also appear in the series.
In October, TVLine questioned Adams about the impressive cast on "The Madison," to which the actor responded, "Yes, and I am not permitted to disclose any information about the show. Therefore, I will simply affirm your statement."
Paige and Abigail, Pfeiffer's daughters, will be portrayed by Elle Chapman and Beau Garrett, respectively. Russell McIntosh, an investment banker, will be played by Adams.
In August, Chapman shared on Instagram that she had joined "The Madison" and wrote, "Dreams truly do come true."
Is Matthew McConaughey involved?
"2024" has been renamed "The Madison," according to Variety.
A "Yellowstone" spinoff will be led by Matthew McConaughey, as previously reported.
In fall 2024, Sheridan's TV universe expands with two new shows, "2024" and "1944," joining "Yellowstone" prequels "1923" and "1883."
It seems that McConaughey's role in Sheridan's television world is temporarily on hold due to reports suggesting that "2024" has been renamed "The Madison."
No reports have been made about him joining "The Madison" or any other possible "Yellowstone" spinoff.
‘The Madison’ release date
The release date for "The Madison" is not yet set, but Deadline reported that it will be filmed in Montana in late August and is expected to premiere in 2025.
Based on Pfeiffer's Instagram posts, it seems like filming is currently taking place. The actress posted a collection of pictures in October with the caption, "Stunning views from Montana's landscapes."
Pfeiffer shared a video on New Year's Eve featuring photos of her with "The Madison" co-stars and footage of the cast filming in Montana.
