The latest controversy involving Zach Bryan is the backlash he received after his breakup, following his arrest and the drunken comment made by Taylor Swift.
The singer's ex-partner claimed she was unaware that he would publicly announce their breakup on social media that day.
Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia fans are criticizing Zach Bryan for announcing his split from her publicly.
On Tuesday, LaPaglia posted on her YouTube page that she had woken up to Bryan's Instagram Story announcing their breakup, despite not knowing he planned to make it public.
""He didn't text or call me, leaving me blindsided," LaPaglia said through tears in the video."
Despite Bryan receiving support from his fans on social media, LaPaglia's followers criticized his post as "unfair" and a "betrayal."
"One commenter wrote that she is beautiful but it's unfair, while another praised the creator's pattern. She expressed sympathy for the hurt she experienced and reminded the viewer of her strength. Sending love."
You gave him a chance to prove his loyalty and goodness, despite his past relationships showing otherwise. I understand your pain because I, too, saw the best in him and everyone knew you truly loved him. You will get through it.
"He must confront his own demons," a third stated.
In the past year, the 28-year-old Grammy winner has been embroiled in several controversies.
Last year, in September, the singer known as "I Remember Everything" was taken into custody for obstructing an investigation following his claim that he had become too confrontational with a police officer.
Bryan stated that he drove from Oklahoma to Boston to attend a concert with his security guard in a separate vehicle.
He pulled over near the officer who had stopped his security guard, eventually getting out of his car for a smoke after waiting for several minutes.
When the officer instructed him to return to his vehicle, he retorted, "It's not me who's being cited."
He was reminded to return to his vehicle and cautioned that failure to comply would result in imprisonment.
"Like a fool, I thought 'You're going to take me to jail? What do you mean?'" he continued.
He stated that he didn't think he was above the law, despite his previous behavior being described as "ridiculous and immature," and that he felt like a child. He added that he regretted his actions and that it was his fault.
"As I became increasingly enraged, I realized that this was the worst possible outcome. After 15 minutes, they finally released me from the vehicle, and I began ranting like a child. I exclaimed, "Someone needs to take control of you guys! Your use of authority is completely wrong!" However, in reality, they were simply doing their jobs, and I was the one who was upset."
"I love Taylor’s music and pray you guys know I’m human and tweet stupid things often." — Zach Bryan
Bryan interrupted, "He looks at me and says, ‘Man, I’m going to tell you this, and don't interrupt me,’" and then admitted that he did interrupt him.
"He stated, "I will take you to jail," and subsequently did so."
Last month, Bryan faced criticism from Swifties after posting on X, "eagles > chiefs, Kanye > Taylor, who's with me."
The singer who sang "Something in the Orange" deleted his X account after facing backlash and later stated on Instagram Story that he was not targeting Taylor Swift during his performance, but was drunkenly comparing two records and it came out wrong.
"He acknowledged that there are many issues surrounding West and that his comments were purely musical. He also stated that he loves Taylor's music and that he is human and often tweets foolishly."
He stated that he was going through a difficult period in his life and believed he may have been projecting some feelings onto others.
He concluded by emphasizing: "As a musician, I greatly admire her work, and the last thing I want is for people to believe I don't value and appreciate her contributions to music," while imploring, "Avoid drinking and tweeting!"
