Iron Maiden's original vocalist, Paul Di'Anno, has been revealed as the cause of death.
Paul's family has given permission for his representatives to share the cause of his death, following the completion of an autopsy.
Di'Anno's sisters, Cheryl and Michelle, confirmed that their brother had a tear in the sac around the heart, which caused blood to fill inside it from the main aorta artery and resulted in the heart stopping.
"Paul's death was instantaneous and painless, and may he rest in peace," the statement added.

In the 2010s, the singer faced health challenges, including undergoing knee surgery in 2014 and using a wheelchair for live performances. He also had a cancer scare.
After returning from Argentina, he discovered a massive shadow on his lungs through a scan. Although he initially believed he was near death, the shadow was found to be non-cancerous.
Di'Anno stated that the abscess, which was the size of a rugby ball and completely infected, had been present in her body for several years.
"The last six months have been hard, but I'm fortunate," he added.
Despite facing health challenges that limited him to performing in a wheelchair, Paul continued to entertain his fans worldwide, performing over 100 shows since 2023.
