The 'biggest lie' of the music industry is exposed by 'American Idol' judge Katy Perry.
The singing competition show will lose 'Roar' singer at the end of the season.
Katy Perry has a new source of inspiration for her upcoming music.
At the "American Idol" Top 10 Tastemaker Event at the Aster hotel in Hollywood, Katy Perry disclosed that she is able to "create from a different space now."
Being happy and whole and loved is not typical for artists, who often write songs based on pain. However, I believe that this is a common misconception among artists, that they must endure pain to be great creators.
"You can be happy, have a life, family, and still contribute great things to the world, so the music will reflect that love and joy."
In August 2020, Daisy Dove, her fiancé Orland Bloom, and Perry welcomed her daughter.
Being an international pop star and a mother can be challenging to balance, acknowledged Perry.
The challenge lies in achieving balance, as a matriarch, mother, boss, artist, creator, and leader," she stated. "The opportunity exists to achieve that balance.
The rewarding part is simply the love, the unconditional love that everyone talks about. It's a massive cliché, but that's actually it.
"To see the view, you climb all the mountains, thinking it's what you're looking for. However, for me, it wasn't until I had my child that I realized the true view I've been searching for."
Recent indications suggest that the popular musician is currently working on new music.
Last week, on "Today with Hoda & Jenna," her fiancé Bloom accidentally revealed that she has new music coming out.
At the Breakthrough Prize ceremony at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on April 13, Jenna Bush observed that Perry was carrying a clear bag with a piece of paper that read "KP6: Top Secret," sparking rumors about a possible upcoming album.
"Bloom cautiously remarked, "I must be mindful of my words. Although there are exciting developments, ultimately, there is a timeline. With numerous components in motion, achieving our goal is a complex process.""
During her interview with Bloom, Perry was questioned about the purse by "Extra," to which she responded, "I was only giving out a little bit."
She responded to the direct question about creating new music with "We'll see."
In 2020, Katy Hudson, better known as Perry, released her fifth pop album, "Smile." Prior to that, she had put out an earlier gospel album under her birth name.
During her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in February, she announced she was leaving her role as a judge on "American Idol" and hinted at new music in the works.
She told Kimmel with a wink, "I love 'Idol' so much, it's connected me with the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse to my own beat."
She joked that her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie would discover the news and said, "I have some things planned for this year."
"It's going to be an exciting year for all popstar girls, and Bryan and Richie know it," she added. "They believe I've been in the studio for a while, so they think something is coming."
Despite Kimmel joking about her not informing Bryan and Richie before her decision, Perry stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that she will always maintain a close relationship with them.
"Our friendship with Luke will endure forever," she exclaimed with a chuckle. "I adore him so much. I love Lionel just as much, and I believe our conversation will remain vibrant indefinitely."
The "Dark Horse" singer would miss connecting with the hopeful contestants the most about the show.
She said, "I'll miss the storytelling, the inspiring backgrounds of these kids, their struggles, and the hope they find."
"Watching them bloom and blossom before my eyes has been a joyful experience. I'm going to miss their confidence and the way they inspire me, like hearing them and seeing their resilience week after week. It's been incredibly exciting."
After performing Billboard No. 1 hits, the top 10 contestants were revealed on Monday night.
Anyone who's willing to put in the work has Perry's support, although she has her own favorites.
She said, "I'm not certain my favorite will definitely accept the entire thing. I believe I prefer individuals who I hope will have long-lasting careers following the show."
"I'm content with any of them winning at this pace, but I'm disappointed that the two who left. However, this is merely a starting point. You must work harder, and you will need to work even harder."
