The actress's relocation to a rural farm is crucial for her mental well-being.
A growing number of celebrities, including Amanda Seyfried, are leaving Hollywood and New York City for a more peaceful life.
Amanda Seyfried, star of "Mean Girls," has joyfully left behind her life in Los Angeles and New York City.
The 38-year-old recently spoke with Forbes about her life in upstate New York.
Before having a family, I relocated upstate. The decision to remain here was optimal for privacy, tranquility, and access to nature. It provides a more balanced lifestyle compared to city life, as she stated to the outlet.
She added the decision was "essential for my mental health."
Since she was a teen, Seyfried has been acting and stated that having a "peaceful place to call home" has helped her to adapt to the "faster lifestyle of the city, the high-energy of press events, and life on-set."
Thomas Sadoski, star of "The Newsroom," shares a farm with his wife, who starred in "Drop Out," and their two children, a son and a daughter.
Seyfried is happy to get her kids involved in taking care of the animals on the property.
"Staying here was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does." — Amanda Seyfried
"She stated that she can observe the children learning about the importance of responsibility and treating pets with care, even at a young age. In her opinion, all pets provide us with a sense of purpose. Since they contribute so much to our lives, we must take care of their health and well-being."
Many celebrities, including Seyfried, have been leaving major entertainment hubs like Los Angeles to lead a quieter or more private lifestyle.
Moving his family to Las Vegas is "really giving the kids a chance to thrive," said Mark Wahlberg to Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Las Vegas offers the best of both worlds. While many people associate it with the Strip, there are other amazing areas just 15 to 20 minutes away that focus on family and community."
