Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' concludes: 8 surprising moments that left fans stunned.
In 2024, Taylor Swift, Spotify's most-streamed artist, concludes 'The Eras Tour' in Vancouver.
Taylor Swift will end her nearly two-year-long "Eras Tour" in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday.
The $1 billion-grossing tour concludes with Swift performing at BC Place for three nights in a row, marking her return to the stage 21 months after her first performance in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023.
Here's a look at the wildest moments that left fans shocked:
Travis Kelce joins Taylor Swift onstage
In June, Travis Kelce, Swift's boyfriend and a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, joined her for a three-hour concert. During the performance, he appeared on stage in costume for a transition between songs. After Swift fell to the floor at the end of "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," Kelce picked her up and carried her across the stage to help her prepare to sing "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."
During the beginning of her tour, Swift experienced heartbreak when she broke up with her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. The transition between songs in her concert largely symbolized this emotional turmoil.
Swift was greeted by Kelce, who appeared cheerful and clicked his heels while walking towards him.
Kelce's performance left Swift swooning.
"The first round of Wembley Stadium was surreal. Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME... Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. Acoustic sections went OFF. I got to sing ‘Castles Crumbling’ with @yelyahwilliams for the first time - hadn’t performed with her since 2011 and man my heart was just so full of love for her and our friendship. Then the impossibly gifted and wonderful @gracieabrams came and surprised the crowd with the first performance of our song ‘us.’ And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut."
"Never going to forget these shows," she added.
Taylor Swift's ‘Errors Tour’
During the two-year run of Swift's "Eras Tour," there were numerous wardrobe and set issues. Despite a wardrobe malfunction during one of her stops in Stockholm, the "1989" singer remained unfazed.
During her surprise acoustic set, the singer-songwriter paused to make a quick fix to her blue dress.
Swift instructed the crowd to converse amongst themselves. She subsequently unveiled the bra top and shorts she wore for the "Tortured Poets Department" set, fixing the malfunction. The problem at the time was not specified.
In Chicago, Swift accidentally swallowed a bug and joked with the audience about it, earning the nickname "Errors Tour" from fans who lovingly dubbed the spontaneous moments.
She apologized to the crowd for swallowing a bug while trying to introduce her pianist, Karina DePiano.
"It's okay. It's just foolish," Swift remarked while attempting to expel the bug. "Scrumptious."
During a tour stop in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Swift's keyboard began playing notes on its own, as if possessed.
She told the crowd that since she didn't play that, it meant that... before being interrupted.
"Can you hear that?" Swift inquired the crowd. "Is it occurring for you as well?"
The "Midnights" singer announced that the piano was likely damaged due to rain from the three sold-out nights, stating, "This keyboard is broken because it was submerged in water last night. I'm not sure how any of the instruments were functioning. Therefore, I'll be using a guitar instead."
Taylor Swift gives nod to boyfriend Travis Kelce with lyric change
Swift surprised her fans by modifying the lyrics of her final song, "Karma," to acknowledge Kelce's presence at the concert as her boyfriend.
At the Argentina stop, Swift altered the lyrics of "Karma" to suggest her romantic involvement.
""Karma is the man on the Chiefs, returning home to me," she sang."
Kelce later revealed that he had "some inkling" that she might act recklessly.
He admitted on his "New Heights" podcast that he was taken aback when he heard it come out of her mouth, despite having a slight inkling beforehand.
Kobe Bryant's daughter receives Taylor Swift's 22 hat
Kobe Bryant's daughter received Swift's black fedora, which she wore during the "Red" era.
During her performance of "22" on Aug. 3, 2023, in Los Angeles, Taylor Swift gave a hat to a young fan in the audience and paid tribute to the Bryant family, who tragically lost Kobe and Gianna Bryant in a 2020 helicopter crash.
Bianka, accompanied by her mother Vanessa Bryant and sisters Natalia and Capri, attended the concert with Kobe.
During the "1989" tour, Kobe presented Swift with a banner for selling out Staples Center for the 16th time, which was famously featured on a denim jacket worn by Vanessa.
Taylor Swift surprises fans with entirely new set
Swift's 12th studio album was released during "The Eras Tour," and "The Tortured Poets Department" was announced at the 2024 Grammys, which was recorded in 2023 during her breaks from touring.
On April 19, "The Tortured Poets Department" was released. While Swift was on tour in France in May, she surprised fans with an entirely new set.
In her "Eras Tour" book, released on Nov. 29, Swift revealed that we kept our performance a secret and surprised the Paris crowd when we began our European leg of the tour.
Swift revealed that she aimed to create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house, and a showgirl's dressing room routine.
The female-rage-driven part of the night was the most dramatic and cathartic, despite being ambitious as hell, as she wrote in the book, which includes photos and behind-the-scenes information from the nearly two-year-long tour.
"The Tortured Poets Department" showcases a variety of artists, including Post Malone and Florence Welch. Swift collaborated with Welch for a unique rendition of "Florida!!!" four times.
Taylor Swift meets Prince William, royal children
At Wembley Stadium in London, Prince William celebrated his 42nd birthday by attending one of Swift's concerts. Backstage, the Prince of Wales and his children met the pop princess and her NFL star boyfriend.
Prince William shared a selfie of the royal trio with Swift.
"Thank you, Taylor Swift, for a wonderful evening!" the caption read.
Kelce was included in a photo that Swift shared on Instagram.
She wrote that London shows are off to a splendid start on her birthday.
Taylor Swift wraps 2024 as Spotify's most-streamed artist
Swift ended 2024 as Spotify's most-streamed artist of the year.
The continued success of "The Eras Tour" has likely kept fans loyal to the pop star for the second year in a row.
Swift received 26.6 billion global streams throughout 2024, according to Spotify.
The singer-songwriter expressed their gratitude to fans on Instagram after discovering that they were the top streamed artist and album on Spotify this year.
