Sylvester Stallone advises caution against believing in the authenticity of a 'Godfather' movie trailer created by AI.
As one of his Special Ambassadors to Hollywood, President-elect Donald Trump appointed a renowned actor.
Sylvester Stallone has issued a warning to his fans following the spread of a fake trailer for "The Godfather Part 4" on social media.
Stallone, 78, commented on a fan-made video creation through social media.
The Hollywood actor, in a post on Instagram, joked about the seriousness of the situation while including two photos of Stallone, one smoking a cigar and the other holding a gun.
The individual responsible for the fabricated "Godfather 4" video clip provided an explanation to the audience regarding its creation.
"This video is a concept trailer created for artistic and entertainment purposes. I have carefully included various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements to realize my vision."
Social media users swiftly expressed their approval of Stallone playing in another "Godfather" film.
"Why not consider it a great idea?" one comment suggested.
I looked too fast and got overly excited.
"The greatest news would be perfect, let it happen," a social media user suggested.
Despite being renowned for his roles in "Rocky," "Rambo," and "Creed," the actor was once denied the chance to be an extra in the iconic wedding scene of "The Godfather."
During a 2022 interview with Empire Magazine, he revealed that he went to Paramount and asked, "Can I be an extra in the wedding scene?"
"They said, 'Yeah, we're not sure if you're the type of guy.' I replied, 'I'm not the type? To play in the background and hide behind a f--king wedding cake?'"
Although that rejection, Stallone portrayed a character linked to the Mafia in Taylor Sheridan's TV series "Tulsa King."
As President-elect Donald Trump named Stallone one of three legendary Hollywood stars to be ambassadors, a fake "Godfather" trailer featuring the actor was released.
On Thursday, Trump declared the appointment of special envoys whose mission is to boost business opportunities in Hollywood.
Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone have been appointed as Special Ambassadors to Hollywood, California, according to a statement made by Trump on his Truth Social platform.
"Trump appointed three Special Envoys to him to revive Hollywood's lost business in foreign countries. He stated that these envoys would be his eyes and ears and that he would follow their suggestions to restore Hollywood's glory, like the United States of America."
Stallone referred to Trump as the "second George Washington" while introducing him at the America First Policy Institute Gala in November.
"George Washington, while defending his country, did not realize he would alter the world. Now, we have the second George Washington, congratulations!"
