Sydney Sweeney Strips Shirtless Following Body-Shamers Criticism
Sydney Sweeney's poolside photos in Florida became viral.
Sydney Sweeney continues to be unbothered.
The actress, who was recently mocked online for bikini photos, posted more revealing images on social media, showcasing her slender figure and promoting her ambassadorship with Miu Miu.
Despite the inclement weather, Sweeney wore a $7,500 cashmere cardigan from the designer in photos and a video, without a shirt.
Sweeney, the "White Lotus" star, showcased her Adventure mini nappa leather bag, which costs $3,050, in a video. She wore dark denim and white sneakers while modeling the bag from a balcony. In the video, Sweeney held the bag close to her chest and looked off into the distance.
The post is timely because last week she was dealing with body-shamers.
Sweeney, 27, was captured on camera strolling around her $2 million Florida Keys home in a purple bathing suit. The Daily Mail published the paparazzi photos. The comments on the article were mostly derogatory and vicious, with many of them being shared by Sweeney on Instagram.
The video of her response contained hateful comments such as "The Pillsbury Dough girl" and "Outdated and not looking lean." It then transitioned to footage of Sweeney training intensely in the gym for an upcoming biopic where she plays boxer Christy Martin.
In October, paparazzi photos taken on the film set revealed an unidentifiable Sweeney with dark hair and wearing loose-fitting athletic attire. Despite the lack of information about the movie, Sweeney had expressed her enthusiasm in May to Deadline about "transforming" her physique to accurately portray the athlete.
Christy's story is a challenging one, both physically and emotionally. She carries a lot of weight, but she loves pushing herself to transform her body.
"Christy Martin's journey in the boxing world not only challenged gender stereotypes but also overcame emotional, physical, and financial abuse. Her story highlights the struggles of fame and the incredible rise to the top. I am deeply passionate about the fighting world and feel compelled to share the story of a woman who faced immense adversity but refused to let it defeat her. It's a powerful and emotional tale."
The actress' representative did not promptly respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry for comment.
