Sydney Sweeney maintains a humble outlook thanks to her close-knit group of non-famous friends.
Since childhood, the actress who starred in 'Anyone But You' has known most of her close friends.
Fame hasn’t changed Sydney Sweeney.
The "Euphoria" star's close group of friends are people she has known since childhood.
"The 26-year-old shared with Cosmopolitan in a recent interview that their friend group is diverse, with some members working in the industry and others not. They explained how being surrounded by people from different backgrounds allows them to gain a broader perspective on life and appreciate what truly matters. They emphasized how this exposure to reality helps to keep them grounded and humble."
Recently, Sweeney and her friends have been visiting her childhood lake house in Northern Idaho.
""My childhood friends are still most of my friends, and that's why many of them aren't in the industry because I didn't grow up in it. It's going back to my roots," she said."
At the age of 13, Sweeney convinced her parents to relocate to Los Angeles, where she had already begun to secure acting roles in the Pacific Northwest.
Sweeney stated to Travel + Leisure that he frequently returns home and is drawn to the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty, which includes a plethora of outdoor activities such as mountains and lakes.
In Spokane, Washington, there are hidden waterfalls just north of the city.
The "it" girl from Hollywood has her own set of famous friends, including her "Euphoria" co-star Maude Apatow, Halsey, "White Lotus" co-star Alexandra Daddario, and infamously Glen Powell, who was falsely linked to her romantically.
Despite Sweeney's engagement to businessman Jonathan Davino since 2022, rumors about a romantic connection between the two actors were sparked by their chemistry-filled press appearances for their 2023 romantic comedy "Anyone But You."
During her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig last spring, Sweeney tackled both her Northwest background and the romance speculation.
Spokane, located on the border of Washington and Idaho, is my hometown. I have a strong connection to both states. When asked where I'm from, I respond, "Washington." However, when asked if I attended a Trump-themed party for my mother, I reply, "Idaho?" she joked.
She stated that the affair rumors were "absolutely false." She and her fiancé co-produced the movie together, and he was present throughout the entire shoot. She wanted to clarify that he was the love of her life, and they were still together and stronger than ever.
Powell was in the audience when she asked for the camera to cut to Davino, who was there to support her, in a preplanned joke.
In the Cosmo interview, Sweeney confessed that she is a "workaholic" and that it's difficult for her to take time off to relax with friends.
"I am a workaholic who loves to work and juggle multiple tasks at once. Taking a break from work and going into vacation mode was a challenge for me, and it has been difficult to allow myself to relax and have fun. My friends would often hide my phone while I tried to call my team to discuss scripts and work."
Recently, the "Euphoria" star was spotted lounging at her new oceanfront mansion in Florida with friends and her fiancé, engaging in activities such as jet skiing, riding a banana boat, and paddle-boarding with her dog.
Sweeney explained that she prefers to keep her work and personal relationships separate, which may have contributed to the Powell dating rumors.
"She told Cosmo that she believes it's crucial to keep her personal life separate from her acting career. She became an actor because she enjoyed portraying characters and creating stories. She never imagined that people would be interested in her personal life; instead, she believed they would be drawn to her acting performances. As a result, she intends to maintain her focus on her work."
