Sydney Sweeney criticizes online body-shamers while preparing for her role as a professional boxer.
This year, a 27-year-old actress starred in several films, including 'Madame Web,' 'Immaculate,' and 'Eden.'
Sydney Sweeney is holding zero space for any negativity.
On Friday, Sweeney, 27, responded to body-shamers on social media following criticism of her appearance in a Daily Mail article featuring photos of her sunbathing at her Florida home.
An average chunky Yankee girl is all there is to see in the article, according to one user's comment.
""She's too thin and needs to shed some pounds in the midsection," another commented."
Sweeney, who had a successful year with films such as "Madame Web," "Immaculate," and "Eden," addressed her critics by posting a video montage on Instagram featuring their horrific comments about her appearance.
In the video, Sweeney showed footage of herself working out in the gym, lifting heavy weights, and training in a boxing ring towards the end.
The video shows a sign that reads "Just Don't Quit" at one point.
Many were quick to praise Sweeney's clap back.
"Lili Reinhart wrote, "It's always wild to see people publicly out-themselves as pieces of s--- with comments like that.""
"Strong baddie," Kesha added.
Sweeney's portrayal of professional boxer Christy Martin in her latest role has left her unrecognizable. In a recent Instagram post, Sweeney posed in costume alongside the real Martin with both of them holding up a fist.
Filming Christy Martin's story has been an emotional and transformative experience for me. Christy's journey is deeply inspiring, and having her by my side during this process was surreal.
I couldn't help but feel emotional whenever I looked at her cheering us on during filming. Seeing her strength and resilience in the face of adversity made me want to cry.
Sweeney thanked the cast and crew of the movie, expressing excitement for audiences to witness a story as powerful as the woman who lived it.
In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the "Euphoria" star revealed that photographers arrived at her new Florida home while she was with her family and demanded that she pose in a bikini for a photo.
She said, "If you ask her to wear a bikini and take pictures, I'll leave you alone."
Sweeney claimed that social media users speculated she contacted the paparazzi.
She questioned why she would invite the paparazzi to capture photos of her at her home when her baby cousins and family were present, and she was in her backyard.
She mentioned that she has pictures of paparazzi in "kayaks concealed in bushes near the ocean. They arrived at 8 a.m. and remained until 4 p.m. I should be able to relax at home and feel secure."
""My safety is at risk when paparazzi photos of me at home are released," she stated. "People know my location due to the photos, and now boats pass by and shout my name, making my front yard a star tour," she added."
