Supermodel Bella Hadid is facing criticism for her role as Taylor Sheridan's girlfriend in the TV series 'Yellowstone'.
Sheridan faced criticism for multiple strip poker scenes portraying his character.
The latest episode of Yellowstone, which is the final one of the season if not the series, has caused a rift among fans due to the presence of series creator Taylor Sheridan.
Travis, a horseman and trainer, has been portrayed by Sheridan in multiple episodes of the series, including this current season, where he conducts business with the Duttons.
In Sunday night's episode, Travis's character had a significant part in the story, starting with a scene of him playing strip poker with multiple women. Additionally, it was disclosed that Bella Hadid was his character's romantic interest.
Kelly Reilly portrays Beth, who later observes Travis showcase his exceptional equestrian abilities, a talent Sheridan is renowned for in reality.
Hadid responds to Beth's inquiry about the nature of her relationship with Travis by asking, "Have you ever seen him ride a horse?"
If she wins, he'll come to Montana to help sell their remaining horses, cattle, and equipment.
Travis prevents Beth from removing her clothes by stopping her and stating that he had always planned to visit the ranch. Beth becomes enraged and exits the premises.
The next-to-last episode of the series did not satisfy some fans due to its heavy emphasis on Sheridan's character.
Watching Taylor Sheridan on his own show for 15 minutes resulted in wasted time, as he partied and did his own thing.
"I definitely do not watch #Yellowstone for Taylor Sheridan. The penultimate episode did not meet my expectations," another added.
Taylor Sheridan took two years to write the final episodes that focused on him, and a third person said that they didn't care about Travis. They hoped that he had put his ego aside for the last episode so that viewers could see the Dutton family and not just the horse show.
The majority of people had positive opinions about Sheridan and his expansive "Sheridan-verse" of programs.
One person stated that Taylor Sheridan is a genius in TV and film, and the industry needs more actors like him.
The person who responded to the question about "Yellowstone" stated that Taylor Sheridan is the creator, writer, director, and overall mastermind of the TV series.
Another person found it amusing that Taylor Sheridan portrayed Bella Hadid as his girlfriend on 'Yellowstone,' which they considered the most authentic thing he's ever done.
Sheridan's representatives did not promptly respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry for comment.
The blame for the frustrations with the season's final episodes has been placed on Sheridan and Kevin Costner, who left the show after the first half of season 5A due to scheduling conflicts with his own film project, "Horizon."
"During the filming of 'Yellowstone,' Costner stated that they wanted to make changes, specifically doing 5A and 5B, which affected 'Horizon.' He had planned to do his movie 'Horizon' and then move on to B, but since 'Yellowstone' was only filmed once a year, he was now doing it twice."
"Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan ruined a successful show with their handling of @Yellowstone. They are the Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones of Hollywood. Well done, guys," another person commented, alluding to the conflict between the former coach and team owner of the Dallas Cowboys.
Another criticized the entire season as a "dull disappointment" due to Kevin Costner's departure and Taylor's rushed conclusion, ruining an excellent series.
In the first episode of Season 5B, John Dutton, the patriarch of the Costner family, was fatally killed off.
In the previous episode, Sheridan discovered Dutton's demise and inquired, "Is that so? What transpired?"
Luke Grimes, star of 'Yellowstone,' says Kevin Costner's departure from the hit show was unexpected.
Christina Voros, the executive producer and director of four episodes in season 5B, including the one in question, stated to The Hollywood Reporter that she never questioned the meta-ness of it because it felt very organic.
Jimmy (Jefferson White) is now working for Travis and that is where his storyline is [at the Four Sixes ranch, where Travis finds out about John Dutton’s death]. The scene where we really get to see the way that John’s death is affecting the cumulative effect of grief and feeling helpless.
The current season was initially planned to be the final one in the series, which caused some fans to express their frustration over the lack of emphasis on the main characters.
There have been rumors of a spinoff or sixth season featuring Reilly's character Beth and her husband Rip, portrayed by Cole Hauser.
