John Owen Lowe and Rob Lowe have a very playful father-son relationship.
Despite his father's ability to press his buttons, John Owen stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that his personal and professional bond with his father has strengthened since collaborating on the TV show.
John Owen stated that we found a groove on set, allowing us to comprehend each other's behavior, which was a new experience for us.
Rob and John Owen both star in the Netflix series "Unstable."
"He continued, "I believe there was less frustration in that area. While I cannot speak for him, I can say that for myself. I think that with the added professional respect we have for each other, there has been some personal respect, albeit just a small amount. However, working with him is still very enjoyable. My father, he is a complete idiot in the best way.""
John Owen stated, "I believe he would be pleased with my statement. He would interpret it as a compliment because he understands my intentions. Although he is not unintelligent, he can be foolish at times."
"I think he'd be thrilled that I'm saying that. He would take that as a compliment because he knows what I mean. He's not stupid, but he is a fool." — John Owen Lowe
John Owen has grown to "appreciate" his father even more after working with him for over a year on their drama series – but the Brat Pack star still knows how to get under his 29-year-old's skin.
Rob Lowe's son describes him as a "complete idiot in the best way."
John Owen admitted that working with their parents often causes children to become insane, and he's not immune to this experience.
"Working with parents can drive anyone insane, right? It's a common experience that we can all relate to in some way. While my dad is a beloved person to many, he can be very annoying and I often find myself going insane working with him. Despite my unconditional love for him as my father, I wouldn't go as far as to say he's beloved."
John Owen stated, "Although I am not the most eloquent, he is simply irritating. He is extremely bothersome. He constantly comments on my appearance, including my hair, clothes, and puffy eyes, and inquires about my sleep patterns and activities. He is intrusive and desires to delve into my personal life, including my relationships and dating status. He is a nuisance."
The second season of Netflix's "Unstable" has just been released.
In the drama series, John Owen portrays Jackson, a reserved individual frequently compared to his accomplished father.
Rob Lowe's son has an "unconditional love" for his Brat Pack dad, but confesses that he often drives him "insane."
In the second season, John Owen's character remarks, "Even after 30 years, someone in the audience may still attribute my success to my father's help, despite my own unique identity."

"I also do know that you can have a door opened for you, but you have to walk through it." — John Owen Lowe
"John Owen started by saying, "One of my favorite lines in the show was probably that one because it's something I've struggled with internally my whole life." He continued, "I've grappled with those insecurities in 'Unstable.' As the co-creator, executive producer, writer, and actor, I still have those doubts that I wouldn't be there if it weren't for Rob, which are technically true.""
He continued, "Although I know you can have a door opened for you, insecurities often win out. Saying that on screen was empowering and cathartic because I haven't said it out loud in my real life."
John Owen Lowe sought therapy to cope with comparisons to Rob Lowe.

My team provides me with constructive feedback, helping me maintain a balanced perspective and avoid being overly influenced by comments.""
"Don't let your head become overly inflated or diminished," John Owen advised.
The actor, now 29, recounted his childhood with Planet Chronicle Digital and described it as "odd" to have grown up with a well-known parent.
Rob Lowe loves being Rob Lowe and he would tell you that. He has a good perspective about it and didn't take it too seriously. I think he has a good head on his shoulders about the byproducts of success in the entertainment industry, like fame and, but it's weird.
"Growing up with a famous parent is strange, as it involves dealing with people who want photos or autographs when you're young and then being seen as a byproduct when you get older. Despite the oddness of the situation, you learn to cope with it, and it's not as serious as it may seem."
John Owen's father was known as a "heartthrob" during his childhood, and according to Rob, being referred to as such is what motivates him each morning.
"John Owen joked, "That's what he goes to sleep thinking about is how he can be even more, quote unquote, dreamy or whatever." He added, "As the son of that, it's a little haunting at times when you're in middle school or high school and people want to talk about your handsome father and discuss a shirtless scene, they've seen him. That's never fun, but I know he likes it.""
The second season of "Unstable" is now streaming on Netflix.
