Richard Gere is excited about embracing a new culture through his relocation to Spain.
Alejandra Silva, the wife of 'The Agency' star, and their children are moving to support him.
Richard Gere and his family are moving abroad to gain some new experiences.
"Gere stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that it's time for his wife to be reunited with her family, friends, and culture. He believes it's beneficial for their children to experience living in another culture rather than just visiting."
Alejandra Silva, a Spanish activist, is Gere's wife of five years. They met years before starting their relationship.
In 2015, Hola! was told by Silva, "The moment we met, our karma attracted us. Although I acknowledge the age difference and the implications of being with a Hollywood star, the strong karmic energy makes the problems fade away."
The couple, who share two children, Alexander and James, also have a son, Homer, from Gere's second marriage.
For the past 50 years, the "Pretty Woman" star, Gere, and his family have primarily resided in New York City.
"The 75-year-old said, "I'll miss my family and friends the most, but I've lived in New York or the New York area since I was 21. It's been a few years now, and New York is in my blood. It's hard to remove that feeling, it's in my DNA. But I also love Spain, especially Madrid.""

In addition to his domestic series, Gere is also expanding internationally with "The Agency," which premieres on Paramount+ with Showtime on Nov. 29.
In the espionage thriller "Le Bureau des Legendes," Michael Fassbender plays a covert CIA agent who must leave his undercover life behind and return to London Station. However, when his love reappears, their romance reignites, putting his career, identity, mission, and heart on the line. Fassbender's boss and semi-father figure is Gere as the London Station chief of the CIA, Bosko.
Gere stated, "I wasn't seeking this. It seems they were searching for me."
"I think it's great to be living, not just visiting, but living in another culture." — Richard Gere
"Recently, I discovered that they had been considering me while writing this thing, and they were attempting to incorporate it into their plan."
When the new series arrived, I thought, let's examine the script.
Gere and his family's time in Madrid before moving to London has made working on the show easier.
"I love London because it's really easy and I have a lot of friends there. My early career was there, and I did musicals and plays in the West End and with the Young Vic Theater. I have a lot of history all over the U.K., so I'm happy to be there too."
Richard Gere did not seek a role in the new spy thriller "The Agency."
Recently, Gere's passion for "The Agency" sparked some debate.
During his appearance on "Today" last week, the "An Officer and a Gentleman" actor raised his middle finger after the conclusion of a clip from the show was shown.
Guthrie scolded Gere and inquired, "What did you just do?" while attempting to conceal his middle finger with her pile of papers.
"Gere apologized, stating that he unintentionally performed the action in the video, explaining, "I was unaware that I was being recorded.""
Gere's accidental gesture was "extremely innocent," as he told Planet Chronicle Digital.
