Ramona Singer, a Real Housewives star, was criticized for her insensitive remark about the California wildfires.
While thousands have lost their homes in the Los Angeles fires, at least 10 people have tragically died.
Los Angeles fires are being criticized by Ramona Singer for being tone-deaf.
On Friday, the ex-"Real Housewives of New York" star posted a video on Instagram, but her caption was perceived as problematic by many viewers.
Unfortunately, people in Cali are unaware of what their day will bring, as she wrote, adding a crying emoji and a prayer emoji.
In the video, she appeared content and at ease, broadly grinning as she exclaimed, "This morning in Florida is simply stunning. Waking up to such beauty is truly remarkable. Take a look at this view … she's so happy."
She flipped her phone's camera to show a luxurious balcony with an ocean view, saying, "It's a bright and sunny day. I'm going to work and play some tennis."
The "Real Housewives" post was criticized on social media for its flippant reference to the destruction caused by the fires.
One person joked on X that it's great to see Ramona Singer is sticking to her New Year's resolution to be as tone deaf as possible at all times.
Ramona will always seize the chance to act improperly on Instagram.
"A fan suggested removing her internet access years ago, while another commented on her ignorance and rudeness."
One person wrote, "As a Californian, I needed this comedic relief too."
"She perfectly embodies the brand, and I'm not upset about it," another person remarked.
Perhaps expressing gratitude for what we have, love, and cherish each day is a blessing she is conveying. We all tend to overlook this.
Before appearing on "The Real Housewives of New York," the singer had a successful career in the fashion industry. She was a cast member for the first 13 seasons, from 2008 to 2021. However, she eventually decided to leave the show, stating in an interview with Page Six, "I do not want to do the show any longer. It’s not for me at this time."
In 2023, a Vanity Fair article claimed that Singer had used a racial slur while talking to a Black crew member on the Bravo reality show.
In a conversation with Page Six, Singer denied the claims and allegedly wrote, "And the word I used was 'NWord' Not n--..." In doing so, she sparked another controversy by using an abbreviated version of the slur in writing.
Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment from a Singer representative was not immediately responded to.
