Rachael Ray doesn't read about herself online, but explains why she 'loved' website dedicated to hating her.
A website was formed to express dislike towards Rachel Ray, the celebrity chef.
Rachael Ray was the subject of an entire hate website, but she probably didn't read the comments section.
In her podcast, "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," Ray recently had a guest, Anne Burrell, and they talked about how they manage to balance their public careers with exposing their personal lives.
Ray confessed that she's "terrified" to browse the internet and read the comments about her.
"Ray inquired of Burrell, "Have you ever pondered how others perceive you? I haven't." Burrell responded, "I'm quite honest, I'm afraid to think about it.""
Rachael Ray was addressed by a Food Network star who referred to those contributing to a now-defunct website as "f---ing losers." However, Ray had a different outlook.
"For years, there was a website called 'I Hate Rachael Ray,' and I thought, at least they're paying attention," Ray remarked.
"There was a site called 'I Hate Rachael Ray' for years, and I'm like, well, at least they're watching." — Rachael Ray
She continued, "I loved it. They watched every day!"
From 2006 to May 2023, "The Rachael Ray Show" aired for 17 seasons.
In an interview with Appetito Magazine earlier this year, Ray discussed the website that is used to hate her.
In April, she stated, "I annoy way more people than there are those who like me, and there's an entire platform online dedicated to hating me."
In a November "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" podcast episode, Ray revealed to guest Harlan Coben that she feels "terrified" when attending social gatherings.
I am terrified in social situations, so I must attend a Christmas party or an event. I am absolutely terrified, as I am not skilled at it. I am fully aware of it.
She admitted that she attempts things she believes she may excel at, but she knows she's not successful in those areas. However, she confessed that she gets anxious.
Despite social anxiety and criticism from haters, Ray launched her new cooking show, "Rachael Ray's Holidays," on A&E on Dec. 8. The release of her latest show followed concerns about her health shared by fans.
Since September, fans have been worried about Ray's health due to a video she posted on Instagram on Sept. 2, where she appeared to be "slurring" her words.
One user remarked, "It's been a while since I last saw her and she doesn't look as healthy as before."
Among the criticism, there were many fans coming to Ray's defense.
One user commented that she appears to be unchanged and others should give her space.
I wish her well. I have been a fan for years. I am confident that Rachel and her team are aware of the situation. Please send her positive vibes.
In the first episode of "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," released in October, Ray confessed that she had a "couple of bad falls" that forced her to stop engaging in her favorite activities.
I enjoy physical work, such as making dinner, planning meals, and carrying in wood.
The "30 Minute Meals" star stated that due to a few bad falls in the past weeks, they haven't been doing that for a while.
