Ozempic can be 'dangerous,' Brooke Burke advises on the benefits of biohacking: No 'quick fix' available.
Ozempic, an injectable diabetes medication, has gained popularity as a weight-loss drug. Brooke Burke discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using it.
Burke, a 52-year-old fitness guru and TV personality, is preparing to host her latest wellness retreat in partnership with Yogando Style in Carefree, Arizona. From March 21-25, Longevity | Building your own ZONE retreat is a five-day getaway for women to focus on their fitness, mindfulness, and self-care.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Burke discussed the ongoing debate surrounding Ozempic in Hollywood.
"Although I am not qualified to discuss it medically, I am aware that there is a wealth of information available on what works and what doesn't," Burke stated. "In my opinion, Ozempic offers several advantages, but it also presents some risks."
I believe that the individual who relies on quick fixes for weight loss without boundaries, discipline, or understanding of the importance of muscle building and weight training within a nutritional plan is at risk of failure.
When aiding clients in attaining their health objectives, Brooke Burke Fitness founder adopts a holistic approach.
"My work with people is not focused on quick fixes, pills, diets, or fads that are temporary. Instead, it's about long-term sustainability, mobility, and strength. For me, it's all about finding a balance between strength and weakness, and understanding my own body."
"Burke acknowledged that he has experience with multiple autoimmune diseases, which has taught him how to manage his body. He explained that he is skilled in biohacking his system, understanding his body's needs, and utilizing anti-inflammatory foods, energy management, and cellular repair techniques."

The entrepreneur claims that biohacking has helped her manage her autoimmune diseases and maintain her physique. Healthline describes biohacking as "citizen biology," where individuals make small diet or lifestyle changes to improve their health and well-being.
The topic of the advantages and potential risks of Ozempic and similar weight-loss medications is significant, according to Burke's statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Semiglutide injection Ozempic, initially approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Type 2 diabetes treatment, has been increasingly prescribed off-brand for weight loss, along with other similar medications.
Novo Nordisk, the pharmaceutical company behind Ozempic, also produces the semaglutide injection Wegovy, which is FDA approved for weight loss. Recently, the company announced that it has developed a weight loss pill that has been shown to be twice as effective as Wegovy in clinical trials.
Some celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Sharon Osbourne, and Amy Schumer, have shared their experiences with weight-loss drugs. Although these medications have been praised for their effectiveness, there are concerns about both short-term and long-term side effects.
"Ozempic is a mystery, Burke said. Although it is misunderstood, it is beneficial for many people. However, there is a percentage of people for whom it is not good."
In the intentional wellness space, I believe it's crucial to have an intimate relationship with your doctor and be a great patient. This is because partnering up with your doctor is essential in all areas of health and wellness.
"I believe it's a partnership, but it's grossly misunderstood," she stated. "We require a prompt resolution in our nation. We need a script and a prompt resolution. And we want it effortlessly."
"I'm not about easy," Burke chuckled. "I'll give you a little tough love."

Our body is not just an object to be manipulated, but a living entity that requires care and attention. We must prioritize self-care and recovery, understand our energy needs, and learn how to optimize our system for peak performance. With the abundance of scientific knowledge available, it's crucial to approach wellness with a mindful and intentional approach.
"For me, fitness is about lean muscle power, strength, and functional fitness, not getting injured. I work out for energy, safety, and dopamine, adrenaline, and oxytocin. I can teach people how to do that, but it's not just about the body or bikini body. We've moved beyond that now."
Burke revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that she has recently added meditation to her daily routine, despite finding it challenging.
"I had to surrender to the challenge and learn how to slow down for me," she said. "And I create my own style. It's either guided, walking, or a musical journey."
"I am committing to slowing down and calming my body to gain clarity and more energy, which will enable me to learn, ask questions, and ultimately receive answers. I do this through daily meditation, as part of a March meditation challenge that involves five minutes a day. Although it may seem like a small amount of time, I believe that self-care and self-love are key to bringing about change."
The host of "Wild On!" revealed that she has been focusing on improving her sleep quality by learning how to shut down her system and rest when she's sleepy.
She continued, "I believe in listening to my body, tracking my sleep, and becoming a detective of my own system. As a biohacking geek, I trust in the power of circadian rhythms and data."
"As soon as we learn to nourish our bodies and understand our needs, we unlock more energy and navigate the complex layers of human existence. Our goal is to live longer, stronger, and smarter, with improved mobility and vitality. This era presents incredible opportunities."
Brooke Burke shares her new daily routine practices.
Burke has pursued various professional endeavors beyond her Hollywood debut, such as her fitness brand, product lines, and wellness retreat business.
In January 2023, Burke announced a partnership with Yogando Retreats to launch a series of wellness retreats in "bucket list locations worldwide." Each retreat will be "finely curated by Burke" for the mind, body, and soul.
In her interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Burke shared the experiences attendees could anticipate during her retreats.
"Burke stated that he receives numerous inquiries regarding retreats, including questions about the purpose, activities, and justification for spending a significant amount of money to temporarily escape from daily life. He explained that retreats can encompass a wide range of activities, making it challenging to categorize them. For instance, if it were a fitness or yoga retreat, he could participate in such activities regularly."
She continued, 'This is truly a mind-body energy. Imagine it as an internal reboot, a chance to retrain the brain and reset your system. We meditate daily, sometimes twice a day. We exercise, practice yoga, and hold sisterhood circles. Men are welcome too. We journal regularly. We venture off-campus to experience the Sonoran culture. We hike and transform our bodies.'
""We exercise twice a day and share our workspace with like-minded individuals, providing an excellent opportunity for people to escape. Some come for creative energy, others for a break, while some seek to restart, some for the workout, and others for personal connection," she stated."
"Each retreat is unique, and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. I am passionate about this work and it has transformed my life. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience it. I never engaged in this type of work as a young woman, and I have limited knowledge about it from my mother."
""Each time I engage in the activity, it increases my desire to do more. It has a profound impact on me, and it leads to the formation of new friendships. It transforms me," the ex-model stated."
