On Christmas Day, Kate Middleton made a rare comment about cancer while speaking to the public.
In March, the Princess of Wales disclosed her cancer diagnosis, and by September, she declared that she had completed chemotherapy.
Kate Middleton shared her experience of going through cancer and how it is relatable to many people in a rare comment about her battle with the disease over the last year.
The Princess of Wales stated that the number of people who have written this year is remarkable and she believes that cancer deeply affects many families. She made this statement to a healthcare worker during a public appearance in Sandringham after the royal family attended their Christmas Day church service.
The royals always spend Christmas at their Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
According to the New York Post, Rachel Anvil of Cambridge's Royal Papworth Hospital, who spoke to the princess, called Kate an "inspiration" to cancer patients for her handling of her own cancer battle.
Anvil stated that her career began in a cancer unit and emphasized the importance of someone as influential as her being open about her own struggle in helping others cope with the disease.
According to the Post, Anvil's mother posted a video on Instagram where Kate demurred and stated that people like her are doing all the hard work out there.

The princess expressed her immense gratitude for the efforts of individuals like Anvil in supporting patients.
Another person, identified as Anvil's mother, told the princess that "We’re all behind you, never forget that," and the princess thanked her.
In March, the 42-year-old royal revealed she had cancer, two months after her January abdominal surgery.
In June 2023, she made her first public appearance since Christmas Day 2023, participating in the Trooping the Colour parade.
Kate declared that she had completed her course of preventative chemotherapy in September, although she stated that her journey to complete recovery would be a prolonged one, and she would tackle it on a day-by-day basis.
She announced that she would take on some limited commitments until the end of the year, which included her second annual "Together at Christmas" concert at Westminster Abbey, which took place earlier this month.
On Christmas Day, the princess was joined by her husband Prince William, their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as her in-laws King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Earlier this year, Charles revealed that he was not only diagnosed with cancer but has also been receiving treatments.
