Nicole Eggert, star of 'Baywatch,' cries about tattoos from cancer treatment.
In 2023, a 52-year-old woman was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Nicole Eggert, star of "Baywatch," experienced an emotional moment after discovering a truth about her cancer treatment.
Eggert revealed in an Instagram video on November 20 that she underwent a CT scan to determine the placement for radiation treatments and received small tattoos as a result.
"I just got out of my CT scan for radiation treatment and was surprised to learn that they were going to tattoo me, so I got tatted!" she said.
"Although it's minor, every step of this process will always be a constant reminder, and it will never let you forget it," Eggert said, her voice breaking and tears streaming down her face.
She was able to laugh off some of the stress, joking, "I have tattoos, my mom will be proud of my neck tattoo, but that's okay."
Despite the people being wonderful, the 52-year-old was not looking forward to it at all. However, they managed to get through that part and the rest would require them to focus on themselves and how they would cope with it, while ignoring the new tattoos they had.
Eggert was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in 2023.
Eggert, the only caregiver for her 12-year-old daughter Keegan, shared with People magazine at the time that she has no family and nothing to rely on. She realized that she must overcome this challenge and beat it for the sake of her daughter. Eggert's other daughter, Dilyn, is 25.
At the premiere of the documentary "After Baywatch: Moment in The Sun," Eggert provided an update on her health in August of this year.
"Every step of this process is never gonna let you forget it, there’s just always going to be a constant reminder." — Nicole Eggert
Eggert told People magazine, "I am in a gray area and have finished my treatment, awaiting more imaging and possibly surgery."
""The gray area is the hardest because you don't know what's happening, and you're just doing something productive when you're doing treatment," she explained."
At the premiere, she shared with Entertainment Tonight that life is a roller coaster, full of ups and downs. She never intended to be on this wild ride, but she tries to stay positive and keep going each day.
Eggert posted about her preparation for radiation treatment after the tattoo video, mentioning that she was going for her first hike since her surgery.
"I am pushing myself today to prepare for the radiation that causes fatigue, and I'm excited to get started!" she exclaimed.
