Jarah Mariano and Milo Ventimiglio are grieving the loss of their Malibu home, which was supposed to be a sanctuary for their newborn baby in the near future.

In an interview with CBS News, the "This Is Us" actor, 47, discussed the "heavy" reality that his family is facing due to the Los Angeles wildfires.

As Ventimiglia walked through the ruins of his home, he couldn't help but think about all the memories he had in different parts of the house and what not. Seeing his neighbors' houses and everything around him only made his heart break.

On Tuesday, Ventimiglia evacuated and later revealed that he and his wife watched their home burn to the ground through their security cameras.

"At a certain point, we turned off the moment of shock where we questioned the reality of what was happening. We accepted the loss."

The nursery for Mariano's baby is now finished, as Ventimiglia announced that the birth could happen anytime.

"The whole thing was set up," he said.

Jack Pearson, whose character was played by Ventimiglia, died of smoke inhalation after his home burned down in "This Is Us," and he is fully aware of the irony.

"Life imitating art is not lost on me," he remarked.

Ventimiglia expressed gratitude as he and his partner prepare for parenthood and adapt to their new lifestyle.

"We have good friends and good colleagues, and we'll manage. Our family, including wife, baby, and dog, is the most important," Ventimiglia stated.

Many celebrities, including Ventimiglia, have lost their homes due to the wildfires.

Daniella Pineda, who starred in "Jurassic World," revealed that she also lost her home and could only escape with her dog and laptop.

"The first house I ever bought caught fire and I lost everything except for my dog, laptop, and one pair of shoes. I'm grateful to be alive and thankful for the support of others during this difficult time."

"While some may find it strange, I cherished my two Beta fish dearly. I ensured their temperature was always perfect, pampered them, and played with them. They were my treasured companions who brought me immense joy every day. Despite the triviality of material possessions, what truly matters are living creatures, humans, and our environment."

Paris Hilton, along with other celebrities such as Anna Faris, Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, John Goodman, and other stars, have also lost their homes.

Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice Crystal, expressed complete devastation in a statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.

"The couple expressed their grief in a joint statement, stating that words cannot convey the magnitude of the devastation they are witnessing and experiencing. They expressed their deep concern for their friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in the tragedy. Janice and I have been living in our home since 1979, where we raised our children and grandchildren. Every corner of our house was filled with love and beautiful memories that cannot be taken away. Despite being heartbroken, the love of their children and friends will help them overcome this tragedy."

On Thursday, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone declared that the Eaton and Palisades wildfires are fully contained. The Eaton Fire has burned 10,600 acres, while the Palisades Fire has scorched 17,234 acres.

The Acton wildfire has been contained at 40%, with the blaze covering only 348 acres, according to Marrone.

Officials announced that firefighters have halted the advance of the Sunset Fire in the Hollywood Hills.
