McDonald's supersized burger should have a health warning, says TV chef Curtis Stone.
This weekend's Screen Actors Guild Awards will feature a menu designed by the Michelin-starred chef.
Chef Curtis Stone, the designer of the menu for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, advised Planet Chronicle Digital that it would be "wise" for McDonald's to include a "health warning" on its Double Big Mac.
"Stone advised caution when consuming fast-food, stating that it's up to the individual to decide how often to indulge."
Stone stated that consumers might believe fast-food companies are responsible when they serve their food, but some of these companies offer unhealthy options with high caloric content, which he believes should not be consumed frequently.
He said eating healthily is "always about balance."
"To maintain balance, it's crucial to eat frequently throughout the day. While fasting is a popular method, it's essential to check in with yourself regularly to avoid overeating. Eating whole, unprocessed foods from the ground is the healthiest option."
McDonald's Double Big Mac should have a health warning, says celebrity chef Curtis Stone.
This Saturday, the founder of Michelin-starred restaurant Maude in Beverly Hills, California, will be cooking for 900 guests at the SAG Awards at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
He explained that we need to prepare a meal that serves everyone quickly, must be incredibly tasty, must reflect the season, and requires careful consideration.
He stated that they set up tables a mile long, lined them with plates, and walked up the line like an army of cooks, completing the task quickly.
The chef, who is 48 years old, discussed his new video podcast "Getting Grilled," where he cooks and talks with celebrities.
Serving 900 guests 'absolutely delicious' food 'quickly' at the SAG Awards is a challenge for Chef Curtis Stone.
Gavin Rossdale and Sebastian Maniscalco were both "incredible" and had him in "stitches," according to him. He also mentioned that Akbar Gbajabiamila was one of his favorite interviews, describing him as a "really interesting dude."
"On that show, we learn so much about our incredible guests."
Lindsay Price, Stone's actress wife, was also present on the Valentine's Day show, where they talked about his choice to delay proposing to her.
"The chef confessed that it was a poor choice, and he should have proposed to her immediately because she is a good person and he loves her a lot."
Stone admitted that he did not want to rush into a shotgun wedding after discovering they were expecting a baby. Although he loved her and wanted to propose, he waited until the right time. However, he now regrets not proposing sooner.
He joked that the most romantic thing he had done for her was buying her skiing tickets "without me this weekend, allowing her to go with friends and me to stay home and hold down the fort. So, I'm not sure if she'd consider it romantic, but I thought it was pretty cool."
