Mariah Carey is refuting allegations that her 2024 Spotify Wrapped video message was created by AI.
The "Queen of Christmas," Carey, spoke out about the viral video that sparked controversy among her followers.
""Why do you think I'm an AI? It's because of the poor lighting and my red lip!" Carey, 55, stated on X."
She shared her comments about "All I Want for Christmas" before her Boston performance.
In the Spotify Wrapped video message, Carey was seen wearing a red and white Santa Claus dress, with Christmas lights in the background.
In the video, she expressed her gratitude for listening to her music on Spotify and stated that your support throughout the year is the greatest gift she could ask for.
"I am celebrating the 30th anniversary of my album 'Merry Christmas.' I hope you enjoy listening to it and I look forward to sharing new music with you soon."
She ended her personal Spotify video message with a kiss and wishing her fans a joyous holiday season.
Several fans were convinced that Carey’s video was AI-generated.
"I thought this was AI for a brief moment because you look so perfect," one fan commented.

The staff responsible for "poor lighting" was criticized by Carey.
"Not the shade at the lighting crew," a fan added.
During one of her Christmas concerts, a fight occurred and Carey made her comments in the midst of it.
During the heated exchange in the audience, two men shoved each other while the Grammy winner was performing "All I Want for Christmas is You."

During the brawl, a woman tried to restrain one of the men, but Carey remained unaffected.
A woman sitting near the stage pushed another woman in front of her, causing a fight to break out. The blonde woman who was pushed retaliated by throwing her drink at the brunette behind her. Two men apparently joined in.

To close out the show, Carey continued to sing her popular Christmas song.
Since its release in 1994, "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Carey has been a staple holiday song, reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and selling over 10 million copies.
