Mandy Moore responds to criticism with a polite request for them to "kindly F off" after sharing her family's fire relief fundraiser.
Mandy Moore of 'This Is Us' shared a GoFundMe page for her in-laws who were affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Mandy Moore is refuting rumors that she is financially supporting her in-laws after they lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
The "This Is Us" actress posted on Instagram that her brother-in-law and sister-in-law lost their home in the Eaton Fire. She revealed that Griff and Kit are expecting their first baby soon and need support now more than ever.
Moore wrote: "Griff is a touring musician who lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussion, making it difficult for him to make a living. Many have asked how to help during this stressful time. Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild."
Moore later edited her caption to address those concerned about her plans to financially assist her family.
She wrote that questioning whether we're helping our own family or attributing an arbitrary amount of money based on Google's estimate is not empathetic or helpful.
"Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe, and I'm sharing it because people have asked how they can help. We just lost most of our lives in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything," she concluded.
Moore was personally affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
This week, the actress posted on Instagram about her visit to her former neighborhood and the devastation she witnessed.
"We observed the devastation on our street, but fortunately, the main part of our house remains standing, though it is not livable. However, it is mostly intact," Moore stated.

We lost our garage and back house, as well as Taylor and Griffin's studio with all their instruments and equipment. Everyone we know lost everything, including our in-laws who were six weeks from welcoming their first baby, our best friends, and my brother and sister-in-law. Feeling guilty for surviving while others lost so much.
"We appreciate the support and help offered by this community. We are committed to rebuilding and strengthening our community. Thank you for your concern."
After the fire, Moore posted videos of herself and her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, evacuating their home in Altadena and going to a friend's house.
""I'm in shock and feeling numb after losing my family, school, and favorite restaurants. Many loved ones have also lost everything. Our community is broken, but we will come together to rebuild. Sending love and support to all affected and those working to control the situation," she wrote in her post."
The Eaton Fire has claimed at least seven lives. The growth of that fire has been significantly stopped, announced Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony Marrone on Thursday.
Officials say that more than 27,000 acres have been burned by the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Kenneth Fire, Hurst Fire and Lidia Fire in the Los Angeles area.
