Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin cautioned their model daughter about the challenges of fame and public scrutiny.
The Daily Front Row Eighth Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards recognized Amelia Hamlin as the model of the year.
For many years, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin have been in the public eye, and they have given their daughters some straightforward guidance as they navigate their own lives and careers in Hollywood.
Hamlin discussed certain topics in their house, including treating everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their status or background, during an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital at The Daily Front Row Eighth Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards.
"Our saying is that people should not concern themselves with others' opinions of them, which prevents them from reading comments."
While it may be simpler to say than to accomplish, taking action can still be beneficial.
Hamlin advised, "Show kindness to all and refrain from complaining," which Rinna concurred with.
Amelia Gray Hamlin, their daughter, affirmed her parents' counsel as she readied to receive the title of model of the year at the event. Additionally, she disclosed the caution her parents imparted to her regarding the capricious character of fame.
She shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that she learned a lot about being present, but it always comes back to kindness. She said, "You know, I have this thing my dad always says that replays in my mind: 'Make sure you're nice to everyone on the way up, because you'll be seeing them on the way down.'"
Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin share the advice they gave their model daughter.
"These small lessons about being human, which were ingrained in my mind, are simple. To achieve this, one should avoid letting ego interfere, be true to oneself, express gratitude, show kindness, and love life. If you love what you do, you won't have to work a day in your life."
Rinna's parents are "beyond" proud of her, as the advice she received has proven successful.
Her father said, "Amelia's dedication to modeling and the way she carries herself are impressive. She has been working on this for years and her hard work is a total inspiration to me."
"Rinna teased him with a laugh, saying, "Well, I have worked that hard in my life.""
Both Amelia and her sister, Delilah Belle, are inspirations to "Clash of the Titans" star.
Amelia was thrilled to be named model of the year at The Daily Front Row Eighth Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, exclaiming, "This award means so much to me, I can't even put it into words yet."
I attended my first fashion event when I was 15, which was about 8 years ago. Now, to not only receive the award of model of the year but to do it at this event, as my first-ever award, is truly surreal. My pinch-me moment has come true, full-circle dreams really do come true. This means everything to me. And to have my loved ones, my friends, my family, my mom and dad here with me, makes it even more special. I am truly blessed.
The 22-year-old also reiterated her mom and dad’s advice.
Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin's daughter reveals what she's learned from her famous parents.
Being kind is crucial. I've emphasized this point before, and it's been instrumental in my success. Similarly, while working hard is important, the key to achieving your goals is simply doing it.
"I believe that anyone can achieve anything with dedication, and I am living proof of that," she stated, referring to the recent "nepo baby" conversation in the entertainment industry. "While I understand that there are different opinions on the matter, I stand firm in my belief that you can have and do whatever you want."
Both Hamlin and Rinna, who have long Hollywood careers, instill a strong work ethic in their family.
"Melrose Place" is reportedly being rebooted, which Rinna finds comprehensible.
"If 'Melrose Place' were to materialize and be good, I believe it would be great, as people love it," she stated.
I am always surprised about everything in this business, to be honest.
Harry Hamlin is relishing his role as a chef in the AMC series "In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin."
The elderly man humorously remarked on the purpose of his performance, stating, "I have no clue as to why I'm doing this show."
But it’s clear it comes from his genuine love of food.
He explained that he cooks for himself and the kids because he loves to eat what he likes and not what someone else wants him to eat.
