Lainey Wilson, star of 'Yellowstone,' is clueless about the future of the hit Western series.

On Monday night, the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place, and Wilson, who stars in the fifth season, has no idea what the future holds for the final episode.
"I'm still waiting to learn about the status of 'Yellowstone,'" she said. "I have no idea what's going on. I spoke with Kelly Reilly recently [Beth Dutton], and we'll just have to wait and see."
As soon as they contact us, we'll be ready.

"1883" and "1923," like "Yellowstone," were written by Taylor Sheridan.
The "Yellowstone" franchise will explore its past and future with two new spinoff series titled "1944" and "2024."
The show went on hiatus after the first half of the fifth season aired in late 2022. There were reports that Costner only wanted to work for one week to film the remaining episodes, which would be challenging as he is the lead actor.
In February 2023, Marty Singer, Kevin Costner's attorney, refuted the rumor that Costner was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of 'Yellowstone' by stating, "This claim is entirely false."
"Anyone suggesting that Kevin's passion for the show is not genuine should not be taken seriously, as it is widely known that he has always put in extra effort to ensure its success."
Sheridan stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Costner was focused on writing, producing, and starring in his own Western four-movie saga, "Horizon." Despite working on this film series for 35 years, it was reportedly challenging to balance "Yellowstone" once "Horizon" was approved.
Sheridan stated in June that his view of Kevin as an actor has not changed. He praised Kevin's portrayal of John Dutton as symbolic and powerful, and he has never had any issues with Kevin that they couldn't resolve through phone conversations. However, once lawyers become involved, people tend to make false statements and try to shift blame based on how the press or public perceive the situation.
He bore a lot of this, and I don't think anyone deserves it. His film seems to be his top priority, and he wants to change direction. I hope the movie is worth it and good.
"I'm disappointed because it shortens the conclusion of his character, even though it doesn't change it."
