Lainey Wilson, star of 'Yellowstone,' attributes her strong work ethic to her background as a farmer's daughter.
Lainey Wilson, an ACM Award winner, is celebrating her heritage through her collaboration with Tractor Supply.
Lainey Wilson, a country music star, attributes her diligent work ethic to her upbringing as a fifth-generation farmer's daughter.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, "Yellowstone" star Michelle Wilson discussed how her parents, Brian and Michelle, instilled in her the determination to never abandon her aspirations.
"Yes, my parents are the ones to blame for all of this," Wilson joked. "They have truly supported me from the beginning."
Michelle and Brian played a significant role in shaping the "Yellowstone" star into the successful woman she is today, but she believes it's a legacy that has been passed down through generations.
According to Wilson, his love for farming comes from his family's long history of farming. On both his mother's and father's sides, they worked hard every day and had their share of good and bad years. Despite the challenges, they remained passionate about their work and loved it in the end.
Wilson continued, "So that meant they got up and did it again, falling down and doing it again. They had no other choice, and my daddy has always reminded me that he worked hard, not just for himself, but for me, my sister, my mom, and my sister's kids. One day, my kids will benefit from his hard work too."
Lainey emphasizes the importance of remembering that tough times are just a part of life when work becomes challenging.
When you remove yourself from the situation, it reduces the pressure and makes working hard much easier, she explained.
The country musician, who viewed the ACM Awards as a "big family reunion," won both entertainer of the year and female artist of the year at the 59th annual award show.
This month, it was announced that Wilson will continue her partnership with Tractor Supply, which she considers to be "on brand."
"As a fifth-generation farmer's daughter, the singer feels that Tractor Supply has played a significant role in her life from a young age. It was the go-to place for her family to get everything they needed for their farm in Louisiana."
What I live and love is represented by Tractor Supply, as it completes the circle for me.
Wilson's new song, "Hang Tight Honey," is a tribute to the hardworking men and women who helped raise her, and showcases her upbringing.
""My identity today is shaped by the people and place that raised me, and I always make sure to acknowledge their contributions. As my life has evolved during this chaotic period, I recognize the importance of remembering my roots and staying grounded," Wilson stated."
Wilson stated, "Being able to write music and reflect on it every night is awesome. To effectively tell the stories I want to share and connect with my fans, I need to maintain a normal lifestyle. That's why I value my relationships and keep Baskin, Louisiana, my small hometown, close to my heart."
Lainey released her song "Country's Cool Again" in February, which she believes is a timeless truth.
Wilson stated that she believes country music has always been cool and that she lives, breathes, and eats it. She added that in her hometown, country music was simply a way of life, and they didn't realize it was a genre until later.
While composing the song, she pondered upon the Western way of life, which involves riding horses, wearing cowboy hats, and donning Wrangler jeans. These elements evoke a sense of comfort and familiarity among people, making them popular on platforms like TikTok.
"Country music is currently experiencing a resurgence, with the perfect timing for a song that has become popular. Despite its past reputation, country music is now cooler than ever."
