LA Fires labeled a disaster by Hollywood actress, who criticizes elected officials' actions.
Elizabeth Chambers is supporting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation through her charity, Cupcake for a Cause.
Elizabeth Chambers, a Hollywood actress, contends that the government wasn't doing enough to address the LA fires.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Chambers, 42, was questioned about whether city officials took all necessary measures to control the Los Angeles fires.
"She remarked, "I believe it was a disaster. No one was prepared, and it exceeded everyone's expectations.""
Rick Caruso, the billionaire real estate developer and former Los Angeles mayoral candidate, was the subject of Chambers' sentiments.
"Palisades Village was saved by Caruso. You can either take a political stance or not. However, ultimately, everyone had the same amount of time to prepare. The village is completely untouched and eerily so."
Elizabeth Chambers describes the LA fires as a disaster and states that not enough was done to prevent it.
"Palisades Village's music continues to play, as if it's Disneyland and everything around it is destruction. Despite this, I believe the steps taken were not appropriate and not quick enough. Caruso, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2022, previously stated that the non-existent water supply during the Palisades Fire, which reduced multimillion-dollar real estate to ashes, was a result of "absolute mismanagement by the city.""
According to Caruso, the city's mismanagement of water supply during the Palisades fires was absolute. Despite the firefighters' efforts, there was no water coming out of the fire hydrants, and the lack of water in the Palisades was a direct result of this mismanagement.
On January 7, deadly fires broke out in the Los Angeles area, forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee for safety as their homes and businesses were destroyed. Officials on Thursday said more than 30 people remain missing while two additional deaths brought the number of those dead to 27.
"So, do I think the steps were taken appropriately and quickly enough? Absolutely not." — Elizabeth Chambers
As she immediately gathered her and her children's personal belongings, Chambers detailed the moment she had to evacuate.
"She explained to Planet Chronicle Digital that she packed for a couple of nights and took our passports, birth certificates, pictures of older family photos that were around the house, just like that."
The TV host, who is Armie Hammer's ex-wife, revealed how she explained the California wildfires to her children, Harper, 10, and Ford, 7.
Parenting requires being the captain of the plane, as if the captain is panicking, the passengers will also panic. This is how I approach parenting in general, as she stated to Planet Chronicle Digital.
If the pilot of the plane is not panicking and saying everything's fine, and you know that you're about to crash, you also don't trust the pilot. This is because transparency, honest conversations, and reassurance are important.
"Although many people are losing their homes, we have everything that's important. We're a family, and we're healthy and together. We'll always have a place to live, and that's what we can say," she remarked.

Through her charity, Cupcake for a Cause, Chambers is aiding in the collection of funds for those affected by the California fires.
The Los Angeles Fire Department will receive 100% of the profits from the Bird Bakery's Strawberry Lemonade Cupcake until February 1.
For the past 13 years, Chambers' business has been consistently creating a CUPCAKE FOR A CAUSE™️ to benefit various tragedies and events in the community and beyond, and this year is no exception.
"We've been evacuated for seven days and are still praying for the safety of our home, but we're grateful to be among the lucky ones. This disaster has been unimaginably devastating for so many, and it's our opportunity to help."
"Chambers informed Planet Chronicle Digital that the cake is vanilla with sliced strawberries and lemon butter cream. They have sold a significant number of cakes in the past few days, and the proceeds go directly to the LA Fire Department Foundation."
The flavor of strawberries is significant because 90% of all strawberries grown in the US come from California, and "we are turning lemons into lemonade."
