Kim Kardashian criticized for wearing rosary in revealing ad: "Your outfit is anything but sacred"
Dolce & Gabbana collaborated with Kardashian's brand SKIMS on a new collection.
Holy Moly, Kim Kardashian!
The SKIMS brand, which has partnered with Dolce & Gabbana for a new collection, faced criticism on social media after a reality star posed in one of their bra and underwear sets while wearing a rosary around her neck.
In some shots, Kardashian wore lace shorts under her 'cotton jersey boxer' which costs $78.
The post was flooded with negative commentary, including:
- "What is the reason behind her consistently wearing a cross while being partially undressed?"
- "Would you make a mockery out of other religions by wearing a cross while being half naked?"
- "Nothing about you is holy take the rosaries off lol."
- "Why don't you just get naked? Such hypocrisy, stripping while wearing a cross. So bored of your desperation."
- "The Holy Rosary is NOT a fashion accessory."
- "Not you wearing a rosary with lingerie."
Several people praised the reality star's appearance. One commentator remarked, "Kimmy, you look stunning, but remove the rosary." Another user added, "Religious individuals are once again causing a fuss over something trivial."
Kardashian's representative did not promptly respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry regarding the controversy.
The Dolce & Gabbana rosary is separately sold from the Kim Kardashian spring/summer 2023 collection.
This religious-themed jewelry collection by Dolce & Gabbana showcases the brand's signature style with unique, creative pieces. The collection features contemporary and glamorous accessories with exclusive details, including different plated finishes, making them perfect for adding style to any look.
Over the past few years, Kardashian, who is known for her faith and frequently speaks about the significance of prayer, has been seen wearing multiple cross necklaces, including for her SKIMS X Dolce & Gabbana collaboration.
She wore the Attallah Cross made from amethyst, which was previously worn by Princess Diana, to the LACMA Art+Film Gala earlier this month.
