Kendra Wilkinson responds to critics following weight gain by asserting her privacy and stating that she no longer identifies as a "Playboy girl."
Kendra Wilkinson, Hugh Hefner's former girlfriend, is content with her life and body as she prepares to turn 40.
Kendra Wilkinson will not tolerate criticism of her weight gain and alcohol intake.
On Sunday, a former Playboy model named Wilkinson posted a video and photo of herself in the mirror on Instagram, along with a message to a hater telling them to "leave me alone."
"She wrote, "Yes, I've gained weight and am aging, but for the first time in a long time, I feel good and mentally healthy. Kids are my everything, and I'm feeling pretty balanced. I'm working out and cooking a lot more, and I enjoy golf and work. I don't have a housekeeper or nanny." She added a laughing face emoji."
Wilkinson, who is turning 40 this year, stated that she has finally found peace in her life and kindly requested that fans online cease criticizing her appearance.
Those of you criticizing my new weight and appearance, please understand that I am content, healthy, and at peace in my life. Respect my journey and allow me to be where I want to be.
"For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 yr old face please know that I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life finally. Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together." — Kendra Wilkinson
"Feeling amazing at almost 40, I hear your criticism of my alcohol intake and will monitor it better. While drinking too much is not good, I have something exciting coming up in June - shots."
Wilkinson concluded her caption with "Love ya."
In September, Wilkinson disclosed details about her past, specifically her first encounter with Hugh Hefner.
Wilkinson was a cast member on the E! reality show "The Girls Next Door."
At 18, Wilkinson became one of Hefner's girlfriends after meeting him at his 78th birthday party, where a modeling photo had caught the magazine publisher's eye.
"On "The Kyle and Jackie O Show," Wilkinson stated, "I'm a single mom struggling to succeed in real estate.""
"At the mansion, I felt safe because I had come from the teenage world, which was full of sexualization and men harassing me."
Hefner was not the only boyfriend that Wilkinson had, and she often broke the rules, including curfew, which most Playboy Playmates followed.
"Wilkinson acknowledged that the choices he made had a significant impact on his life, leading him to fall into a major depression. Although he does not blame anyone else for his situation, he takes responsibility for his actions and questions what he could have done differently to avoid ending up in this position. He reflects on his behavior and considers what changes he needs to make in order to grow and avoid repeating the same mistakes."
"I don't identify as a victim," she stated. "While I acknowledge that there are victims, I have a different outlook on the situation. I understand and feel for those who are victims, but for me, it's a different experience."
Wilkinson stated, "I relished my time at the mansion. The people you met were exactly what they appeared to be. I was just a carefree, adventurous, youthful, blonde individual. And I embrace it. No misfortunes ever befell me. I'm not implying that nothing unfortunate happened to others."
