Katie Holmes refutes allegations that Tom Cruise's trust fund made daughter Suri a millionaire.
Holmes warned a follower that spreading false information about her daughter is 'risky'.
Katie Holmes is fed up with the accusations that her daughter Suri has inherited millions of dollars from a trust fund established by her father, Tom Cruise.
Suri, who turned 18 in April, did not become a millionaire with a trust fund that recently kicked in, as reported by Holmes, 45.
An article shared on social media with nearly 3 million followers was labeled as "completely false" by the "Dawson's Creek" actress.
"Stop making up stuff daily," Holmes wrote on Instagram with the caption "Enough."
Besides the image suggesting that Holmes had saved money for her daughter, there were also rumors that her father had set aside a designated amount of funds for her.
One of Holmes' followers criticized her for complaining about her financial struggles, saying, "I wish these were my problems."
In response, Holmes stated, "I concur. However, in today's world, I do not wish for my child to have a target on their back. It is hazardous."
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive any additional comments from Holmes' representatives.
In 2006, Tom Cruise, known for his role in "Mission: Impossible," married Katie Holmes in Italy. Following their union, they welcomed their daughter, Suri, into the world.
In 2012, nearly six years after their divorce, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes revealed that Suri's publicized childhood has influenced her parenting style.
"Protecting my daughter has been really important to me because she was so visible at a young age," Holmes said.
She expressed gratitude for being her parent, stating, "I'm very grateful to be a parent. She's an incredible person."

This year, Holmes shared a rare glimpse into her life as a mother, expressing her excitement to witness her daughter's first year in college.
"I'm proud of my daughter and happy, despite missing the close proximity. Of course, I will miss it, but I'm really proud of her," Holmes shared with Town & Country.
"Reflecting on my past, I recall the thrill of discovering myself at this age. That period of growth was exhilarating, and I cherish the memories of it."
In 2022, Suri made her big screen debut in the movie "Alone Together," which was directed and written by Holmes.
"In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Holmes stated that he always seeks the highest level of talent. When asked about directing, he said, "She's very, very talented. She said she would do it, and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general. It's like, 'This is what I think we all want – go do your thing.'""
