Kate Moss's sister attributes her regained confidence to using OnlyFans.
Lottie Moss lauds the adult subscription site for providing her with 'a great deal of liberty'.
Kate Moss's half sister, Lottie Moss, is proud of her work with OnlyFans.
Lottie, 26, first joined the adult subscription site in 2022. While she is focusing more of her time on acting with a new role in "April X," Lottie only has fond memories working in front of the camera for her fans.
"Initially, I was deeply passionate about it and felt it had granted me a great deal of independence and self-assurance," she confided to Planet Chronicle Digital. "Moreover, I felt I could fully express my femininity and be proud of my identity while engaging in it."
When I was doing modeling, I lost a lot of confidence in myself because I was constantly comparing myself to others and feeling inadequate based on physical attributes such as height and weight.
"With OnlyFans, you can be yourself and people will love you for it, regardless of your identity."
Moss believed that working on the photo-sharing site was crucial for her.
"At that time in my life, I was struggling with modeling and my mental health, but now I've regained my confidence and feel empowered to pursue other opportunities with my life."
Working on OnlyFans comes with a few misconceptions due to its "taboo" nature.
"TikTok is like OnlyFans for single moms who can work from home, take care of their kids, earn a lot of money, and showcase their talents," she said.
"A creative platform allows you to exhibit various facets of your personality and diverse aspects of your life. There's a possibility that others may appreciate it."
She added, "I've met many girls who have thrived through OnlyFans. I find it strange that it's still considered taboo in this day and age. There are numerous models who do naked shoots and have it all out there, but because it's for Vogue and not OnlyFans, it's different. Similarly, actresses who go naked for films and have sex scenes are okay, but OnlyFans isn't. I don't understand why. However, I believe we're moving towards a world where people are allowed to embrace their sexuality more."
She was in Bali when she got the call to work on her feature film debut, "April X," which was a welcome surprise and a natural transition from working online to being on a film set.
"She said, "I was thinking, I really want to do something different and something that challenges me a little bit. I used to do a lot of drama when I was younger, but I never pursued it because I went straight into modeling.""
"I've always wanted to do this, but I've never done it. I want to finish my career knowing I accomplished it. You may not know until you try it, whether you could be really good at it."
Kate's bridesmaid from her 2011 wedding with Jamie Hince, Moss, later gained recognition in American Vogue. Three years later, she signed with a modeling agency and posed for Calvin Klein, the same brand Kate made famous in the '90s.
In 2016, Moss posed for her first Vogue cover. She also has a thick celebrity Rolodex and has been seen with Bella Hadid, Daisy Lowe, and Jude Law's children, Iris and Rafferty Law.
In 2022, Kate faced criticism after defending nepotism in a post on X that she later deleted. She is 50 years old and shares the same father, Peter Moss, with Lottie.
At the time, she wrote, "I'm tired of people blaming nepotism for their lack of wealth, fame, and success. While it's unfair that those from famous families have an advantage, life isn't fair. However, if you work hard and set your mind to it, you can achieve your goals."
Moss admitted that she "shouldn't have" posted her thoughts so eagerly. "I think I was trying to get something across that just didn't work," she said. "There are just certain people who get one-ups in life. Life isn't fair."
"I have friends who are so wealthy that their parents buy them apartments, and they don't have to worry about rent or bills. I, on the other hand, have to work since I was 15 and have never received any financial support from my parents or sister. I find it more unfair than being Kate's sister."
She described the challenges of knowing individuals who profited from nepotism in various ways, including having parents who provided them with everything, cars given to them, and attending private schools.
"Lottie stated that she attended a private school and paid for it herself. She began working at the age of 15 and obtained jobs through her sister's name. Although she was grateful for the opportunities, Lottie wished for more financial support. She envied her friends who had houses bought for them and longed for a similar opportunity. However, she did not want to purchase the house herself. Instead, she hoped that her parents would buy it for her."
