In September, the Princess of Wales finished her chemotherapy, having revealed her cancer diagnosis in March.
Kate Middleton has announced that her cancer is in remission.
On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales announced the news on social media.
"I wanted to express my gratitude to The Royal Marsden for providing exceptional care during the past year," she wrote on X. "My sincere thanks go to all those who have silently supported William and me through our journey."
"The care and advice I have received as a patient have been exceptional, and as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, I hope to support groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, promote patient and family wellbeing, and save many more lives, transforming the experience of all those impacted by cancer."
"I am relieved to be in remission and remain focused on recovery. Adjusting to a new normal after a cancer diagnosis can be challenging, but I am looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you for your continued support."
In March, the 42-year-old royal revealed she had cancer, two months after her January abdominal surgery.
In June 2024, she made her first public appearance since Christmas Day 2023, participating in the Trooping the Colour parade.
Kate declared that she had completed her course of preventative chemotherapy in September, although she stated that her journey to complete recovery would be a prolonged one, and she would tackle it on a day-by-day basis.
This is a developing story.
