Jon Voight, known for his role as Reagan in the film "Coming Home," urges Brad Pitt to put an end to the "nonsense" with Angelina Jolie.
Jon Voight, Jolie's father, urges Brad Pitt to increase his efforts in the ongoing legal battle with his daughter.
For almost eight years, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been engaged in a bitter struggle over their French vineyard.
The Jolie-Pitt family, consisting of Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, has faced numerous challenges, including physical abuse allegations and name changes, throughout their years together.
Jon Voight, Jolie's father, shared his thoughts on the family conflict in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital.
Voight is certain that there must be a resolution, despite admitting that he doesn't talk to his grandchildren as much as he would like.
"Voight, who is promoting his upcoming film "Reagan," expressed his desire for peace, stating, "I wish they'd find a way to make peace." He added, "You know, I think the kids need some stability. I love the kids, and I love my daughter. And I want Brad to step up to do, you know, what he has to do. End this nonsense.""
Pitt and Jolie were married for two years before the actress filed for divorce in 2016, ending their 12-year relationship after a physical altercation on a plane. They became legally single in 2019.

Jon Voight, star of the movie 'Reagan,' wants Brad Pitt to put an end to his feud with Angelina Jolie.
In 2022, the actress was granted sole physical custody of her minor children, including Shiloh at the time, after Pitt had been granted joint custody for a short period of time. Pitt was then allowed "custodial time" with his minor children. However, it's unclear where the two stand regarding custody of the children at this point.
In June 2020, the actress disclosed the reason behind her departure from Pitt, stating it was to ensure the "well-being" of her children.
Jolie stated in Vogue India that she made the decision to separate for the sake of her family's well-being, and it was the right choice. She continues to prioritize their healing.
"Despite some taking advantage of my silence and seeing lies about themselves in the media, I reassure the children that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave and strong young people."
The ongoing battle between the former couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has centered on their French winery, Château Miraval, with Pitt suing Jolie for breach of contract in 2022. In 2021, Jolie attempted to sell her company, Nouvel, to Tenute Del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli group, effectively transferring her 50% ownership interest in Miraval.
Jolie's attorneys claimed in documents obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital that the "Maleficent" star and her children were victims of Pitt's alleged "private" abuse and cover-up last month.
In the court documents, Jolie's legal team contended that she did not act with malice or the intention to harm Pitt when she sold her share of Miraval, in relation to any custody ruling.
The court documents stated that instead of buying her interest, Pitt demanded his newly expanded NDA, which was enforceable by an $8.5 million holdback, to force her silence about his abuse and cover-up.
Jolie's source close to Planet Chronicle Digital commented on the latest filing earlier this month.
The source told Planet Chronicle Digital that Brad Pitt's demand for an NDA to conceal his criminal actions is unethical, and no survivor of abuse should be pressured into remaining silent.
"Despite not pressing charges, leaving him all their properties, and trying to sell him the business, he still sued her and attacks her in the press. All she desires is peace and the chance to heal their family."
But a source close to Pitt immediately disputed the claims.
"Unfortunately, this legal attack is just the latest example of how business disputes can harm the entire family by making them personal," the source said to Planet Chronicle Digital.
The other side is desperately and repeatedly trying to distract from the fact that it was her, not Brad, who requested an NDA about the divorce, which completely undermines the legitimacy of their never-ending attacks.
"She sold Miraval and took the money, which breached the agreement and deprived the kids of their inheritance, causing them not to want anyone to focus on this fact."
Another personal blow was dealt to Pitt as the legal battle over Miravel continued.
On her 18th birthday in May, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of the couple, filed to remove Pitt from her hyphenated last name. A source close to the situation confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Shiloh had hired her own attorney to handle the change, which was spurred by the alleged abuse.
Pitt's other daughters, Vivienne and Zahara, have dropped Pitt from their last names in both professional and personal settings. Additionally, People magazine confirmed in May that Vivienne Jolie-Pitt's name was printed as solely Vivienne Jolie in a playbill for "The Outsiders," which she worked on with her mother.
In a video obtained by Essence, Zahara previously identified herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie" while joining her sorority at Spelman College.
In May, a source close to Pitt revealed that the actor was dismayed about his daughter's legal action.
The insider informed People magazine that he was aware and upset that Shiloh dropped her last name, but he felt the most joy when she was born and always wanted a daughter.
"Brad, who loves and misses his children, is not immune to the pain of being separated from them. Despite this, he remains happy with Ines de Ramon."
Jolie had previously disclosed to Harper's Bazaar that the past few years had been tumultuous for her in terms of her physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Jolie stated that her body has endured a lot in the past decade, specifically the past four years, resulting in both visible and invisible scars.
"Wrestling with unseen entities is more challenging. Life presents numerous twists and turns. You may experience pain and witness loved ones in distress, which can limit your ability to express yourself freely and openly. This is not a new or old phenomenon, but I can sense my energy returning to my body."
