Jon Bon Jovi believes that God is responsible for healing his vocal cords after surgery.
The Bon Jovi Story, a new docuseries by Bon Jovi, will be released on April 26.
Jon Bon Jovi is entrusting his health to God, having been two years in recovery from a demanding vocal cord surgery.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi candidly admitted that recovering from vocal cord surgery is difficult.
"Comparing it to athletes, such as Kobe and the Achilles, Michael Strahan and the Pec, Tom Brady with the Knee, and Tiger Woods preparing for another Masters, Bon Jovi said that it doesn't get any easier for any of them."
He continued, "Our work ethics are similar, and no one anticipates injury like that. It's up to God to fix it or not, but I'm certainly right next to the Lord myself working on it."
In 2022, John Francis Bongiovi Jr., better known as Bon Jovi, paused his live singing career and underwent throat surgery due to an atrophied vocal cord.

This year, Bon Jovi commemorates their 40th anniversary as a band. To celebrate this milestone, the band collaborated with Hulu to produce a four-part docuseries titled "Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story."
Two years ago, Bon Jovi made the decision to "archive everything that I had" in preparation for the band's anniversary, as he shared with Planet Chronicle Digital.
""I asked the band to contribute what they had, considering it was an opportune time to discuss how we would mark our 40th anniversary since you only get one and who knows where we'll be at 50," he continued."
During his interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Jon Bon Jovi was accompanied by "Tico" Torres, who shared his excitement about still being involved in music after 40 years.
Tico Torres was thrilled to 'reimagine' Bon Jovi's sound in their upcoming album.
The release date for Bon Jovi's 16th studio album, "Forever," is June 7.
""We're still here, and it's amazing to be able to create music together and reinvent ourselves while saying what we have to say from within," Torres said."
He continued, "There are few bands in the world that do it, but it's great to be part of that genre where we can keep going and keep creating. We grew up together. We're guys from Jersey and we're family. What else do we have to do?"
Jon contributed his thoughts on why Bon Jovi has endured.
"To begin, it's a love of music," he stated. "I believe that we all have an innate love for music and enjoy each other's company. Therefore, I wouldn't rather create with anyone else than the group of guys I work with. In my opinion, this is the simplest answer. I appreciate that we get to do this together."
Jon Bon Jovi stated that Richie Sambora's departure from the band was not driven by any malicious intentions.
The upcoming docuseries focuses on Richie Sambora's departure from Bon Jovi, which occurred in 2013 after he had been the lead guitarist in the band since 1983.
Jon admitted that he would have worked less if he could accept responsibility for Sambora's exit.
Jon stated, "Our relationship was never hostile, and we never had any animosity. Richie has now openly and privately addressed his struggles with substance abuse, anxieties, and being a single parent."
Despite the frontman's struggle with his bandmate's departure, he acknowledged that "we had to continue doing what we do, and he chose not to want to do it anymore. Unfortunately for him and for us."
He concluded that being in a rock band is not a permanent commitment, and he no longer wished to continue it.
Torres described the moment when Bon Jovi reunited with Sambora and the late Such at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 as "something special." Such, who was a founding member and bassist in the band, passed away in 2022.
Torres said that although Alec, who was the catalyst for putting the band together, is no longer with us, he is still watching us from above. He introduced me and Richie, Jon.
"Richie's absence is a difficult situation, and it's not our decision. We must respect his choice."
Jon Bon Jovi has been working on the 'Thank You, Goodnight' docuseries for two years.
"The Bon Jovi Story" premieres on Hulu on April 26.
