Jennifer Jason Leigh, known for her role in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High', was seen in Hollywood recently, preparing for upcoming projects.
Leigh starred in 'Single White Female' and 'The Hateful Eight'.
Last week in Los Angeles, Jennifer Jason Leigh was spotted running errands with a casual appearance, despite her notable roles in films such as "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "Single White Female," and "The Hateful Eight."
Leigh donned an orange sweatshirt, light blue jeans, sunglasses on her head, and green sandals.
As she headed for her car, she carried an orange thermos and two purses.
This year, the actress starred in the Emmy-nominated fifth season of FX's "Fargo" and has two upcoming thrillers, "Night Always Comes" and "Crime 101," both featuring star-studded casts, according to Variety.
Despite being a successful and celebrated actor with a family background in Hollywood, Leigh tends to keep a low profile and avoid the public eye.
Barbara Turner and Vic Morrow's 62-year-old daughter died in an on-set accident while filming a segment in "The Twilight Zone Movie" in 1982.
Leigh revealed in 2018 that she and her father had a distant relationship, as her parents separated when she was just two years old.
"I don't discuss my father publicly because many people deeply admire him as an actor, and I don't want to diminish their admiration."
As a teen actor, Leigh began her career with her film debut as a blind, deaf and mute girl in the 1981 slasher "Eyes of a Stranger."
In 1982, she got her first major role in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," which marked the beginning of her successful film career that included many diverse roles in movies such as "The Hitcher," "Sister, Sister," "Last Exit to Brooklyn," and "Backdraft."
In 1992, she gained fame for her role in the erotic thriller "Single White Female," where she portrayed a young woman fixated on her roommate, played by Bridget Fonda.
Leigh's career continued with an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress in "The Hateful Eight," alongside Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson.
Leigh attributed her success and eventual nomination for her film role to her mother.
"In 2016, she told People magazine that she has always admired her mom, who is an inspiring woman and artist."
My mother's kindness and research fanaticism influenced my love for taking things seriously. She would research extensively while writing screenplays, and I adopted the same habit when I became an actress. She instilled in me a seriousness that applied to everything.
After that, Leigh has taken on various roles, including Lady Bird Johnson in "LBJ," a scientist in "Annihilation," and a character in the mystery comedy "Poolman," which was written, directed, and starred Chris Pine.
Rohmer is also Leigh's son with her ex-husband, writer-director Noah Baumbach.
