Jennifer Garner family time brings Ben Affleck joy, a stark contrast to his red carpet life.
Jennifer Lopez, who was married to Affleck for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in 2018, continues to navigate life post-split from Affleck.
Despite his successful career, Ben Affleck's personal life has been the subject of unwanted attention. Since his split from Jennifer Lopez, he has focused on family time with ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children, marking a significant change from his previous red carpet and Hollywood lifestyle.
According to a source close to Affleck, the "Argo" actor has been enjoying time away from the spotlight while spending quality time with Garner and their three children: Violet, Fin, and Samuel.
"Jennifer Garner and Ben have a strong co-parenting relationship, despite their split from Jennifer Lopez. They prioritize their children's well-being and communicate frequently. Jennifer is supportive of Ben and their kids, and there is no animosity between them."
Over the past 20 years, Affleck and Garner have been each other's strongest supporters, finding a healthy way to co-parent and leaning on one another in times of need. Despite their divorce in 2018, the former couple has maintained a unique bond.
"The source stated that Ben appears to be content with his current situation in life. Although he has some work-related tasks to complete before the year ends, he seems less stressed than he did six months ago. He is focused on his work and staying busy, and is looking forward to his project in the upcoming year."
"The kids love spending Thanksgiving with their parents and the former couple," an insider told People magazine.
While Lopez spent Thanksgiving with her family, the two also volunteered for The Midnight Mission.
Despite filing for divorce in August, Affleck and Lopez continue to see each other and consider each other's children as part of their lives due to their intertwined lives over the past few years.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from representatives for Affleck and Garner when requested for comment.
Affleck's distaste for public attention is nothing new.
In "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," Lopez's documentary, the former couple confessed that they "fell apart under the weight of fame" and it caused tension in their relationship, ultimately leading to the cancellation of their 2003 wedding just three days before the big day.
While Jen didn't object to the press as strongly as I did initially, I strongly objected to it.
"I said, 'Listen, I don't want a relationship on social media. But then I realized it's not fair to ask. It's like asking someone to marry a boat captain, you want to be with the water. We have different approaches, and we're trying to learn to compromise."
During an interview on Kevin Hart's Peacock show, "Hart to Heart," Affleck revealed that he's always looked angry in photos because he's a little bit shy and doesn't enjoy a lot of attention.
"People see me and ask, 'Why is this guy always angry?' because someone puts a camera in my face while I'm with my kids taking pictures."
After the divorce filing became public, Affleck has appeared to withdraw from the public eye.
The actor failed to attend the premiere of "Unstoppable," a film his production company with Matt Damon produced in September.
At the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Lopez, who starred in the biographical sports drama, turned heads in a daring metallic silver gown tied up at the sides with black velvet bows, while Affleck was in Los Angeles.
Ben Affleck, the actor known for his role in "Gone Girl," has faced challenges in his personal life.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner first met on the set of "Pearl Harbor," but didn't start dating until 2004, when they starred together in "Daredevil." They got married in 2005, but ended their relationship in 2015.

"After careful consideration, the couple has decided to divorce. They will continue to love and be friends, and co-parent their children while respecting their privacy during this difficult time. This is their only comment on the matter. Thank you for understanding."
Since announcing the split, Garner referred to Affleck as the "love of her life" in her first interview.
"In 2016, she told Vanity Fair that she didn't marry the big fat movie star, but rather, she married him. She also admitted that she would go back and remake that decision. She ran down the beach to him and would again if she could have those three babies and the love of her life back."
"Although we are divorced, we must continue to assist each other in overcoming this challenge," she stated, alluding to their divorce. "He remains the only individual who truly comprehends the facts, while I am the only one who knows some of his secrets."
In 2017, Affleck admitted to completing a rehab stint for alcoholism while working on repairing his marriage with his estranged wife.
"I have overcome my alcohol addiction and will continue to face it in the future. My goal is to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my children to know that seeking help is not shameful and to be a source of support for anyone struggling with addiction but afraid to take the first step."
""I am fortunate to have the support of my family, friends, and co-parent, Jen, who has been there for me and our children as I work towards a positive recovery," Affleck stated."
In 2017, months before their official divorce in 2018, Garner supported Affleck as he entered rehab again.
They finalized their divorce in October 2018.
In 2020, Affleck confessed on "Good Morning America" that he and Garner would always be linked.
"Being divorced was not something I wanted, as it meant losing my identity and disappointing myself. I didn't want to be a split family with my children, and the thought of it upset me deeply."
"Having children with someone means you're forever connected to them," he stated. "I'm fortunate that she is the mother of my children. I'm grateful and respectful of her. Although our marriage didn't work, we both believe it's crucial for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they're together or not."
In 2022, Affleck and Lopez got married, but their happiness was short-lived.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August in Los Angeles County Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The "On The Floor" singer filed the documents on the second anniversary of the couple's Georgia wedding ceremony.
In the same month, Garner and Affleck took a family vacation to Japan with their three kids.
A source close to Affleck stated that he and his ex-wife are the epitome of good co-parenting, despite being best friends.
