Jennifer Aniston's fitness secrets at 55 involve strength training, burgers, and martinis.
Jennifer Aniston rejects the idea of 'no pain, no gain'.
Jennifer Aniston employs several strategies to preserve her appearance while managing an "80/20" lifestyle.
In an interview with Allure, Aniston, 55, revealed how she balances enjoying herself with maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
"A beautiful martini is always a lovely way to relax. You’ve got to live your life. No restrictions — except hard drugs. It’s the 80/20 approach," she said.
"Maintaining 80% healthy living allows for 20% indulgence in martinis, pizza, burgers, and late-night socializing with friends. It's all about balance."
Was Aniston asked if her "20" resembled pizza, burgers, and martinis?
"The actress responded with "Yeah, pretty much" and stated that she and her friends are skilled at enjoying themselves, having done so for 30 to 35 years."
"Eighty percent healthy living and then 20% is go have a martini, go have your pizza and burgers and stay up late with your friends. There's a balance." — Jennifer Aniston
The "Friends" icon grows older but focuses on positivity and gratitude instead of viewing aging negatively.
"We are still here, so what's the alternative? I'm trying not to think about growing older. I avoid thinking about age. The world will always remind us of our age and the societal expectations for women based on it," she said to the outlet.
"We're realizing how easily people are influenced. It's like, "OK, if they say this happens at this age, that's what happens at this age." But then you think, "No! Who's making these rules?!" Our muscles are going to get weak as we age? No, let's keep them strong. We can create our own rules. It's all nonsense."
In a People interview, Aniston revealed that she begins her morning routine with a particular beverage before working out.
She drinks ARMRA Colostrum in the morning, with room temperature water and a whole lemon squeezed into it, according to her statement.
When it comes to working out, Aniston doesn't believe in "no pain, no gain."
"You can gain without any pain," she stated.
When it comes to exercise, Aniston advises finding a workout that you truly enjoy.
"She stated that you can have an incredible transformation without breaking your body during your workout," he said.
Aniston maintains both physical and mental well-being.
"The best you can do is all you can. I meditate in the morning and stretch before bed. I've been working on improving my sleep hygiene, but I dislike those terms," Aniston shared with Allure.
I detest the concept of "sleep hygiene." Despite my efforts to adhere to a strict bedtime routine of 10 p.m., turning off all electronics, and simply sitting in silence, I find myself unable to fall asleep.
"I've been attempting to meet that challenge on my own. Some days you excel and are spot on, while others are not. I believe in being kind to yourself because the world is already harsh and hostile. So why should we make it worse for ourselves?"
She revealed that she struggles with sleep.
"Aniston shared that she wants to love the relationship but has had difficulties, particularly in the last 10 to 15 years. She finds it challenging to turn off her brain and stop the committee from talking. She has had to shut off the news and set boundaries with information to cope with the situation."
