Jennie Garth would not allow her kids to pursue acting at a young age, according to a report.
In response to the 'Quiet on Set' documentary, Jennie Garth has shared her thoughts on former Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider.
Jennie Garth, who gained fame in Hollywood at a young age, does not expect her daughters to follow in her footsteps.
She stated to Planet Chronicle Digital at the Los Angeles Mission x Easter Celebration Friday that she does not see any of them following her in terms of acting, and she believes none of them want to do that. However, if they were interested, she would allow, encourage, and support it since they are old enough now.
She added, "If they were younger, I definitely wouldn't let them do it."
Garth and Peter Facinelli share daughters Luca Bella, 25, Lola Ray, 20, and Fiona Eve, 16.
At 15, Beverly Hills, 90210 star was discovered by a Hollywood talent scout and dropped out of high school to pursue acting, eventually becoming a successful actress at the age of 18 when the hit series launched her to stardom.
The scrutiny of the impact of working as child actors has arisen due to the docuseries "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV."
An interview with Drake Bell was featured in the series, which delved into his alleged sexual abuse as a teenager by convicted offender Brian Peck, and also highlighted accusations of racism, sexism, sexual harassment, and a toxic work environment led by showrunner Dan Schneider. Although Garth did not work at Nickelodeon, she did collaborate with Schneider on the WB sitcom "What I Like About You," which debuted in 2002.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Garth stated that he never wants to discuss Dan Schneider again.
She did not provide additional details, but did express appreciation for her co-star Amanda Bynes, who starred on Nickelodeon's "All That" and "The Amanda Show," both produced by Schneider.
Jennie Garth from '90210' says she would not allow her daughters to pursue acting when they were young.
Garth expressed his love for Bynes and stated that he would be delighted to see her at any time.
Garth suggested she would share more about her perspective on "Quiet on Set" in an Instagram comment last month.
Instead of encouraging his daughters to pursue fame, Garth emphasizes the importance of being good people.
Raising kids in a city as large as Los Angeles presents a challenge for everyone attempting it, according to what she told Planet Chronicle Digital.
"I believe the key to keeping my kids grounded is by staying close, being involved, and constantly reminding them of the importance of family."
Last year, Garth revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that after her youngest graduates high school, she intends to relocate from Los Angeles.
"At the time, she said, "My daughter is 16 and will graduate in two years. You'll see my tail lights after the graduation ceremony," with a laugh, adding, "Trust me.""
She explained, 'I've been living in California for a long time and I genuinely love this state. Los Angeles, in particular, is a stunning, diverse, and amazing city filled with fascinating individuals. However, I've had my fill. I've had my fill of traffic and the bureaucracy that comes with it. The constant rush to get somewhere or be someone is overwhelming. At this stage in my life, I'm looking for something different.'
In Los Angeles, raising 'grounded' kids is the secret of '90210' star Jennie Garth.
Garth has formed enduring friendships in Hollywood, notably with her "90210" co-stars, especially Ian Ziering.
She said with a laugh, "I love Ian Ziering. He's like my bestest guy, man friend. I don't know what to call him."
The cast will reunite at a convention in April, a common occurrence, but there are no plans for a reboot at the moment.
Garth stated that they currently have no plans and nothing scheduled, but it's impossible to predict the future.
The actress is occupied with other projects, including a QVC deal, and has exciting plans for 2024 that she is keeping secret.
Garth, Ziering, and other celebrities including Nick Cannon and Denise Richards volunteered to cook and distribute food at the Los Angeles Mission's Easter Sunday celebration, as reported by Planet Chronicle Digital on Easter Sunday.
Garth stated, "Being a part of The Mission in Los Angeles is an honor. They greatly benefit the unhoused community, both downtown and beyond. It's a privilege to serve food and assist them in any way possible."
Easter is not a highly religious holiday for us, so it's all about family gathering and expressing gratitude. It's like any other holiday, except there's a huge Easter Bunny involved, she said with a chuckle.
