Jay-Z seeks to dismiss rape lawsuit against Diddy, demands conclusion to 'extortion scandal'.
A refiled lawsuit accuses Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs of raping a minor during the 2000 MTV VMAs.
The day after Jay-Z was implicated in a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, he filed a motion to dismiss the case, according to Planet Chronicle Digital's obtained documents.
Jay-Z, who was born Shawn Carter, requested the court to reject the plaintiff's request for anonymity. The rapper was accused of raping a minor along with Sean "Diddy" Combs at an MTV VMAs after-party in 2000, according to the documents.
In his motion to dismiss, Jay-Z accused Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzzbee of running a "sprawling extortion scheme, whose goal is solely for financial gain."
An anonymous accuser filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z in New York on Sunday, alleging that he "raped" her while Combs and "Celebrity B" watched. The lawsuit was originally filed in October.
Jay-Z's representatives did not promptly respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry for comment.
