Jay-Z's accuser of alleged rape speaks out, acknowledges making errors in lawsuit.
An Alabama woman alleges that Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs sexually assaulted her when she was 13 years old.
The accuser of Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs for sexual assault has acknowledged some inconsistencies in her memory of the night in question.
Jane Doe, an Alabama woman, confessed to making "some mistakes" while recounting her alleged sexual assault by two rap moguls 24 years ago, in an interview with NBC News on Friday.
The woman admitted to making some mistakes, but she stands by the accuracy of the accusations she has made against Jay-Z and Combs.
Jane Doe made a mistake by claiming that her father picked her up after the alleged sexual assault, but he doesn't recall that, according to NBC News. Additionally, she claimed to have spoken to an unnamed celebrity at the after-party, where she claimed to have been sexually assaulted, but the celebrity has said that they weren't in New York at the time of the event, per the outlet.
According to court documents, the unidentified woman ended up at a VMAs afterparty after attempting to gain entry to the awards show at Radio City Music Hall.
"I have made some mistakes." — Jane Doe
On Friday, Jay-Z issued a statement refuting Jane Doe's allegations against him and shut them down.
"Jay-Z stated that the incident did not occur, but the lawyer filed it in court and continued to assert his position in the media. True justice will prevail, and we will fight for it. This case was already settled before it began, and the lawyer is unaware of this. Soon, he will realize the truth."
In 2000, a 13-year-old girl accused Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her, as previously confirmed by Planet Chronicle Digital. Prior to being named in the lawsuit, Jay-Z likely received a demand letter seeking to settle the matter.
Buzbee stated through an outlet that he would persist in advocating for his client.
Our client, Jane Doe, was referred to our firm by another who had previously vetted her case. Despite our client's firm belief in the accuracy of her statements, we will continue to investigate her claims and gather supporting evidence. Our client has agreed to undergo a polygraph test, which is a first for us.
Buzbee concluded that, despite any circumstances, they always strive to verify every claim made, as they did in this instance. This has caused her immense distress, resulting in seizures and the need for medical treatment due to the stress.
Jay-Z's attorney, Alex Spiro, released a statement to NBC News, expressing his disbelief that a lawyer would file a serious complaint without proper investigation and then further publicize the false story. He is asking the court to dismiss the case and is considering disciplinary action against the lawyer who filed the complaint.
More than 20 lawsuits have been filed against Combs by Buzbee, who Jay-Z's attorney has labeled as a "shameful money grab."
Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to Spiro and Buzbee for comment.

The woman, who remains anonymous, revealed to NBC why she chose to share her story of being raped by Jay-Z and Combs at the age of 13, at the age of 38.
"Always fight for what happened to you, advocate for yourself, and be a voice for yourself. Never let someone else's actions ruin or run your life. I hope to give others the strength to come forward like I did."
At the VMAs after-party, Jane Doe alleged that she was given a drink by a cocktail waitress and subsequently experienced strange feelings, prompting her to search for a place to rest.
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe remembered Diddy saying, "You are ready to party!" when he entered the room where she was lying down.
She then claimed that both Combs and Jay-Z raped her.
"Jay-Z holds me down and tries to push me away, but I struggle. He puts his hand over my mouth and tells me to stop it, to cut the sh*t. Then he rapes me, taking advantage of my vulnerability," she claimed in the lawsuit.
In the lawsuit, she stated that she left the party immediately after the alleged assault.
"Jane Doe shared with NBC News that she was upset and the gas station attendant could tell. She used the phone and called her dad, who was the only person she trusted at the time. She informed him that she made a mistake and needed a ride home. They rode home in silence, with dad not asking about what happened, what she did or where she was."
The unidentified woman stated to the outlet that she never disclosed the alleged rape or documented it in a diary.
If someone discovered the truth, who would believe me? It was just two celebrities' word against mine, she said to the outlet.
In October, Jane Doe, represented by Texas-based lawyer Buzbee, filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York accusing Combs of raping a 13-year-old while celebrities watched.
Diddy was named "Celebrity A" in a lawsuit against him by Jane Doe, who added him to her complaint on Dec. 8. The rap mogul denied the allegations in a statement shared with Planet Chronicle Digital.
The 13-year-old girl, after allegedly consuming one drink, became disoriented and found a bedroom to rest in. According to the court document, Jay-Z, Diddy, and female "Celebrity B" seemingly followed the girl into the room. She immediately recognized all three celebrities.
A statement from Jay-Z was shared on Roc Nation's social media platform after he was named in a lawsuit.
What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
"I will not give you one red penny, as it had the opposite effect and made me want to expose you as a fraud in a very public manner!"
On Dec. 10, Jay-Z's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, one day after he was publicly named.
The rapper's lawyer opposed the woman's request for anonymity in the case.
Jay-Z's legal team argued that the lawsuit was part of an "extortionate campaign" aimed at "forcing payment of an exorbitant sum of money," with Jay-Z having to pay millions of dollars regardless of the truth, or else face dire consequences.
The unnamed Plaintiff and her self-promoting counsel, whose name has been widely publicized, went to great lengths to stop Jay-Z from defending himself fairly. However, their efforts were unsuccessful.
